Nev in the US

Hi All,
The wife and I finally got our act together an hit the US

We were in LA last week and went for a few car related visits.
First was Petersens Automotive Museum.
I only have time to put up a few shots

We have had to hit the shops too and the wife reckons this Mustang in the car park would be better in our garage

The traffic on the LA freeways can be a little daunting

We also went to SoCal speed shop and they let us have a look around "÷ut the back"

Here's Jimmy Shine working on wiring for a 32 roadster

Here's Justin (SoCal speedshop) and I talking about how many mortgages I need for this 33 Ford with LS motor

Here's Jimmy's Pickup

Here's a pick up that I really liked

Obligatroy Mustang

NHRA Museum is not far from SoCal speedshop so we also went there

Here's a small version of what I think we should get next

This week we are in New York, here's a shot of the Empire state build from the top of the Rockefeller building

Next week back to LA for a few more car related visits then off to Denver, Vegas, Grand Canyon etc.

Thanks for the comments boys.
We are pretty busy looking around New York this week.
We went up the Empire State building today we had to wait about 1 1/2 hours to get to the observation deck, but worth it once we got there.
The view is great.
Will try to post some more photos as we go.

Shane, we will hit Pomona swap meet next week so we will look out for the flags. (might have to buy a Caddy with them :-) )

If you get a chance if in Vegas go by to see Carrol Shelby's joint. Its on the north side of town on I-15 next to the drag strip and Petro Truck stop.I forget the exit number but you can't miss it.

King Taco taco stand is good in the La area. The Casadias are very good
Shoney's big boy in Reseda Ca has a hot rod meet there on the weekends.
Jerry's deli is in that area its a Jewish place and is pricey but worth it.

Thanks for the tips Tony.
We will be in Vegas at some stage and plan to visit the Shelby place.

We are still in New York but will be back in LA for the weekend so we will hit a few car related events.
Then off to Denver for the Super Chevy show and a few horse events

Here's a few more shots from New York.
If you get the chance come and have a look.

Hey Nate, I think they are the large diameter alloy rally rims (not my cup of tea on the 5th Gen Camaro, but it's certainly different)

Yes, we did.
Pretty amazing to have this big park in the middle of such a densly developed area.
Here's a pic of one part of Central Park

Also went around the Statue of Liberty.
A tip; if you want to actually get a ticket to climb inside the statue you've got the get a ticket early, we arrived at Battery Park at around 10:00 am and all the passes for the day had been sold, so we just did the boat trip around the statue, bridges etc.

Got back into LA this afternoon so we went out to Garden Grove to check out a small car show.
Here's some photo's in no particular order.
