I know it's back tracking a bit, but you might want to look at going to an in-tank pump and getting rid of both the G-Surge and the lift pump.

Looked at it but best done with a new tank as mine is not that suitable for a number of reasons. The g-surge is pretty quite, cant hear it above engine & if I put a 6psi pump at the back I can chuck a carb on should the technology fail me in some stupid place.

Really liking the Sniper though. Both it & I are still learning.
