US Muscle car meeting in Melbourne

Anyone interested in a catch up meet somewhere in Melbourne, to put a face to the name, talk car stuff, even bring along your ride.

Suggestions on meeting places, weekday or weekend preferences, see how it turns out, may even make it regular like quarterly or even monthly.
Would be nice to post some pics of members and cars as well. May even pick up new members along the way.

What do you think guys and gals?

Deal. Great idea.. I'm in.

Depending on how many of us, there's a great American Diner called Misty's in Prahran on High St. Fairly apt but not a great car parking venue.
Is that a good idea?

Prahran would work for me... As i have no car on the road, I could ride my bike.

What about a drive-in? Maybe a bit antisocial (&Uncomfotable for Nateon the pushie - Ha!) Otherwise I like the idea of a diner/cafe/bar, but with parking... Will have a think. Good intiative tho.

Otherwise it seems we are often at the same events but don't formally touch base... Like:

Friday 5th March
American Iron Cruise Night at The Rock Complex. 35 Lusher Rd, Croydon, from 6pm - 9pm.
Melway 50 J5. $5.00 Entry/Donation per Display Vehicle & occupants. $3.00 per person Spectators.
For owners & enthusiasts of All American...Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Customs & Classics.
All AMERICAN MADE Automobiles & Bikes welcome to display. Proceeds to Parkinson's Vic.

or

Sunday 21st March
American Classics, Lilydale Showgrounds, Maroondah Hwy Lilydale (Melway 38 E4)
Enter via Market St. Gates open 8.30am display cars, 10.00am public.
$15 per car, $3 public entry. Hosted by the Thunderbird Owners Club of Australia

The drive-in is a good idea too.
Basically, it's going to be very hard to find an eatery where we can sit and watch our cars from the table.
Fast Food places do offer this, but then they have the usual customers who can't drive, park or have kids swinging doors wide open.

Captain America's is another option with parking out the front, but once again, you won't be able to see the car from your table.

Hey Ben as mentioned before a park sounds like a good venue, have been checking a few places out. Lysterfield Park Lake is one to check out will be next on my list.
