Track days/ hill climbs?

Hi all,

Is anyone into hill climbs / track days?

Iíve been toying with an idea for some time, nothing over the top just something to have a bit of fun with it.

I really wanted to get a cheap car and take it out there, so I ended up with a slightly modified Holden Astra turbo 2003

It was a bargain, and even though it is a FWD it makes around 160 kw, it is rocket and handles well, Lotus was involved in suspension build

If you go to these events, where can I go as a starter ? any recommendations?

What do you drive?

Cheers all

Check your state CAMS calendar, they may have some events listed to get you started. They do have Come and Try days that are pretty low key. Also look for local car clubs with that sort of interest.

You can go to Winton racetrack on Fridays for open practice.
You can go to a tampered Motorsport event at Winton and they give you track time in groups of similar lap times so you don't go out with really fast cars. I recommend tampered Motorsport. Check them out
