Stuart ,
as a note of further caution .
This is second hand but told to me by a racer who had a cage fitted and ANDRA certified , still waiting on engineer report .
The ANDRA rep stated " if a bolt in cage is used , then removed I would like to reinspect and recertify upon refitting" . Now he also said this is not required by rule but his personal thought to make sure it is correctly refitted .
I also asked ANDRA head office re using Chris Alston drop out taxi bar and drop out intrusion bar fittings but was told they had no ideas on drop out taxi bars but they would follow up . My response was this was the biggest sticking point for street cars .
As to you running a cage in a Camaro - better check with an engineer re where you will run the rear bars as there is specific requirements for passenger clearances . I have noticed a few cages with the rear bars being set very wide and running along the roof lining just at the top or above of the side windows and down the "C" pillar .
Oh yes and don't forget ANDRA may change requirements again and at any time

Tex

Hey Tex, the design the fabricator has drawn has the taxi bar permanent part of the main hoop. Front intrusion bars and rear stays are removable.
Under side of parcel tray in boot is permanent.
I'm hoping scrutaneering will be able to verify cage fitment.
The cage won't be fitted when passengers are in the car. Race meetings only.
