Sorry if it has been answered, but there is another question I'm sure most are wondering.

What happens to BLKOUT?

I know it's none of our business. Just hope it finds its way to a good home. I'm sure it won't know what to do with itself not being pulled apart every other weekend

Gave my car several hours of TLC today for the first time in well over 6 months, if not 9 or more. Was satisfying bringing back some of it's lustre & fixing little fiddly things that just needed time and attention spent.

But whilst satisfying being productive under the hood & jacked up rear end, it was also melancholy as everything I turned my eye to reminded me of input from Steve over the years. Mostly from him helping me work on it, but also through his advice (and factory-loyal opinions) over the 10+ years of my ownership.

Hope you're in a good place mate and thanks again for everything.

I just hope it gets the massive respect that it deserves. Steve built it to be driven so would be a huge shame to have it hidden in a shed. Steve would have hated that.

I haven't been as active on this forum in the last couple of years, and have only just read this terrible news. I got to meet Steve through this forum, firstly with advice both ways, then through buying some bits and pieces off him. We also got to meet in person a couple of times, once at Heathcote and another time when I was in Melbourne for work. We got along quite well, and he was willing to help me out when I needed someone to check out a truck for me that I wanted to buy. I remember his report on the condition of the truck being like a Marti report. In his usual style, it was very comprehensive and detailed. Based on the information he supplied, I did not pursue the sale any further. His eye for detail left me in no doubt that the truck was not what I wanted. This was the measure of the man. Willing to help out at short notice, and give me the benefit of his vast knowledge, just because I asked.
I would like to offer my condolences to his loved ones, and also say that anyone who may have been adversely affected by this incident should seek out a compassionate ear if need be.
RIP Steve, you will be missed.

Bumped in to the car and new owner Gerry this morning. He knew Steve for over 25 years, and it is in good hands and will be cared for. Sounds tough as still.

RIP Steve
