Any Hervey Bay members?

There's a possibility I may move up to Hervey Bay next year so would be keen to discuss the pros and cons of living there with any members from the Hervey Bay/Maryborough area.

I didn't know there was a Hervey Bay near Maryborough Victoria so to clear things up - I was referring to Hervey Bay Qld 4655 which is close to Maryborough Qld 4650.

I realise that, just pointing out the postcodes similarities of the 2 Maryborough's.

Funny you should post this today...my wife raised the exact same question over the weekend. A move to Noosa hinterland up to or around Burrum heads

Two different climates/lifestyles but both are very nice places to live.

Check out what you can get in Burrum Heads for $345k (asking price).
Modern home, two car lock up garage to keep the toy safe + huge carport for van, boats etc..

Peter her preference is Noosa, and close to the beach. My preference, acreage and shed without the nosebleed prices of Noosa

I believe I seen you on the Monash(near Warrigal rd heading home) last week about 1-1:30pm in the Kubic, doing about 40kph?

I bet you can't wait to get away from that 5hit Chris?

Been there a couple times and it's a lovely little beachside town. Pretty big car scene all along the sunny coast. Hope it's some help bud.

Yep Jim that would be me. Go in 2-3 days a week. I try to time it to kiss the traffic. But I don't think there is such a thing

I'd like to live in Noosa as well Chris, but I'm not in that price bracket, hence my interest around the Hervey Bay area where prices are very cheap.

And thanks chevguy, I agree it's a pleasant place and Wide Bay Rodders is pretty active in the area.

Bought a house and been living here since June. Met a lot of car guys and joined WBR which is an active Club. Fixed out the two car garage for the arrival of my new toy. Climate has hovered around 23-25 degrees for the past 6 weeks. I like the place.

cluxford 07-09-2018 03:52 AM

Peter I've been here since mid July...agree, 2 days of rain and 22-25 degrees. Loving it so far, but not looking forward to summer

chevguy 07-09-2018 12:22 PM

Didn’t know you guys moved. Welcome :). Summer is a bit ordinary but not as bad as a Melbourne winter lol.
