Lovin' the shed by the way, it's awesome.

Cheers Pete, the wife calls it "the hanger", just few things left in the backyard to complete so the office of war is kept happy then I'm into it. First up will be rear suspension fitment, then subframe connectors

Shed looks super sweet Chris, like the way you have done the loft/mezzanine.

The hoist is one of those things that until you have one you just don't know how bloody handy/good it is.

Absolutely, I've noticed a few things that I need to address that were not previously seen, being able to walk around under the car is sweet.

With the day rained out its been a good opprotunity to get in the shed and start mocking up everthing, my mate was a no show so i chipped away with the aid of axle stands, steel pipe and rachet straps to get the motor and gearbox in, thank god for the hoist! Very happy with out of the box install kit from Speedtech, no issues with bolting everything in, just need to decide on how far back to locate the motor before drillng the mount holes, i also need to adjust the subframe as it's not square in the car and it looks like bonnet clearance won't be an issue. Next up is fabricating pedal box mount, relocating wiper motor, remote reservior install.

Noice! I like the mockup stage, especially if things go together as they are supposed to (which rarely happens for me  )

Yes Been there in the past, this came together very well, I ran a tap through the powdercoated bits just to be safe, the trans mount allows plenty of adjustment both directions so moving the motor back won't be an issue so I just need to think about coil locations before committing to final placement

So envious of this build. Keep the updates coming.

Jaba 28-03-2016 09:45 PM

Looking awesome Chris!

smithy71RS 28-03-2016 10:05 PM

No problem Vic, will certainly keep the updates coming and cheers Jake

That is gonna be Killer.
Mock up stage is the exciting bit !!
Great job Chris

Where you thinking of placing the coil packs, down low?

Stealth 69 29-03-2016 08:39 AM

Lookin Suh-Weeet! :D -- and that dual throttle body look rocks!

smithy71RS 29-03-2016 05:01 PM

If I can fit them in down low would work best as the motor can go back at least another 2 inches. Yeah Justin trying to look old school with a twist.

Hey mate, just seen you're selling a lot of stuff. What you up to with this now? Going the new speedtech subframe?
