Lakeside Raceway under threat
Thanks to noise complaints from just two whingers, race meets have been cancelled at Queensland's Lakeside Park Raceway. Just two! How is this possible that just two people can shut down racing?
Cruise & track days are unaffected at this point. So, please, everyone who has an interest in keeping one of the best tracks in the country open needs to contact any or all of the following people.

Division 7 Cr, Denise Sims:
Ch of Plan’g, MBRC, Mick Gillam
Dep Mayor, Mike Charlton:
Mayor, Allan Sutherland:
Shane King, MLA
Mark Ryan, Min. Police
Stephen Miles, Min. for Health

A link to the speedcafe article:

Could those who are into Facebook & Twitter spread the word too, we need numbers. And please raise the topic on any automotive forums you frequent as well.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully we'll have a positive result.

Yes, these brain-dead politicians never learn.....

If you like golf, plenty of golf courses...
If you like cricket, plenty of parks indoor venues.
Same with bowls, swimming, basket ball, baseball etc, etc.

But if you are a car enthusiast & want to enjoy your car, where do you go....Less & less places.

We lost Oran park & Amaroo park in Sydney.

And these f'wit politicians wonder why kids are racing their cars on the street....

I think that those that feel the need to complain about things like this should have their names available publicly in all these types of cases. Why should they get the right to stay anonymous when everyone else loses out? That rule change alone in all disputes would stop this sort of crap completely. But we all know majority rules decisions are a joke these days, minority rule the world now which is just BS. Wouldn't want to hurt someone's feelings!!!!

RAC track in Perth was closed down after complaints from just one person.

Its a bit like the people who buy a house near an airport then whinge about the noise.

Bowls...those old f$#@*rs clog up the road driving 20 Ks below the speed limit to get there and home...I might have to start complaining about that

Make me very sad.

Same ones that move into a room above a live music venue and get gigs shut down. I don't get it... Where's the "What did you expect, d!ckhead" clause with all this stuff...
