Guys,
picked up the Camaro on Fri night. When the seller said it had no brakes he wasn't joking. Got it on the car trailer alright, but I live on a hill and my wife can't help me. I have a brick wall fence with narrow gates. Lined up the car trailer and had to "drive it off" as it was uphill to get it off the trailer and I couldn't push it. Had it chained up to the trailer, started her up, whacked her in reverse...off she went, chain let go....next thing I know I am shooting across the backyard heading rapidly to the back fence (a redgum sleeper retaining wall). Slammed it into park and shut her off...stopped 55cms (I measured) short of the wall. Phew......
Good news is that's exactly where i wanted it so didn't need to get out and push it.
Bad news is it all happened so fast I near Sh!t myself....
But no bent panels and now the project begins.
Engine ships next week.

OK guys, posts will start to flow once project starts.
Car was everything I hoped for except doors are way more rusty than expected so they will need new skins
My job now is to strip it back to bare sheel and send it off to the panel shop (that I am doing over easter - taking a week off)
On the build...how rank ??
Does 632 cube tall deck big block with 816Hp sound rank enough ?
Will replace everything...and I mean everything. It has all new panels already including floor, only original is boot, bonnet and doors. Doors and bonnet will be replaced. New front sub frame, new 4 link rear, new brakes, new steering, new interior...100% customised...about the only thing that will stay original is the glass, but that will be flush mounted...lose the gutters, and flush mount new door handles.....

Sounds the goods!!!
Hopefully we will have another camaro blog to add :)
Are you going to fabricate a new subframe or off the shelf???

Yet to be determined, will be up to the chassis guys.
My preference is an Art Morrison full frame (and channel the body over it), or at least AM front sub frame and DSE Quadralink rear end. But they aren't cheap.
So may go fabbed 4 link rear and just buy front sub frame off the shelf, either way I need to stiffen up the chassis to handle the 825 Ft-Lbs of torque

Probably worth while going custom......
The aftermarket SF's are very expensive...You could have a nice custom one done for similar money.

Geez! Atleast it made it to where you wanted it.
Out of interest, what does a off the shelf subframe for a Camaro cost?

they range in price, but front subs range from about $6K to $9K USD...but that is inclusive of brakes and steering
