Well my camaro came with drumbrakes fronts and rear.

Rears should be fixed up when i start looking for the diff..

But the front...

I've spoken with Castlemain Rod Shop, they have a drum-disc conversion kit for $345. It's just bearing spacers etc so i can fit on HQ-WB discs/rotors (which i need to supply myself).

Would prefer a Disc brake spindle and getting the whole thing done swapped over, but i don't fancy my chances...

Does anyone know if a newer model will allow me to do that? a straight swap?

Or any other options?

I have seen these guys advertise alot of conversion kits, cost abit, do a search under you year mod and you can see the packages, thought it might help give you a idea of what they supply.

Have you spoken to any local brake specialists? You might be surprised with what they might have lying around, or will definitely know who else you can talk to about getting what you want done.

P.S. the older the brake guy the better ;)

Thought i'd update this thread....

As mentioned in muggz's thread, i've been trying to source my disc brake kit.. Masterpower were just too pricey compared to CPP.. for the same thing i will save roughly 250-300 $US.

Willwoods would be ideal but i don't have Kurt's budget :p

But i have to say, CPP need to reply to cost requests a bit quicker :p

Heaps of other crowd over there sell CPP stuff at the same price as CPP.
Just bought me a CPP master cylinder(backorder though)from Rjays.

Is that for a full kit? whats included? brands?

And i received a reply from CPP today :D

They wanted my exact address to give me a final quote.. I'll see what it comes too..

And Kurt i'd go Wilwoods if it didn't cost $1500 just for the rotors :p

Hi guys. I got a set of C5 Corvette brakes in the boot of my 69 Camaro and I thought they'd be a pain in the ass to fit. They are 2 piston calipers and 330mm discs.

I surfed the net and it is only an adapter plate (see link) [URL="http://www.pozziracing.com/12_corvette_brakes_on_fgen.htm"]

Funny thing is that these brakes are PBR (Australian made) stuff the same as on most Holdens, Fords and all the Hopper stoppers kits etc.

There are people selling these brakes on Ebay all the time. This is a real cheap braking option with replacement parts available at Repco?

My only query is, does anyone know if you can use a Holden Master and slave cylinder setup?
