You just need the casting #'s and that will tell you a complete story!
I can decode them off a list I got at home somewhere..... do you have the casting #'s ?

Don't have the casting numbers yet...will get them when the car gets here.
What I do have is:
Engine code = V0222TMM
Previous owner says these are 462 heads??
Intake code is: 3919801 OR 3918801
Decoded as:
TMM is used twice for 350 Small Blocks.
1974 = LS9 350/140, 2bbl - in light trucks
1980 = LT9 350/170, 4bbl - in CA light truck w/Auto trans
V = Flint Engine Assembly
02 = Feb.
22 = 22nd day
The '462 heads are probably not original, but may be ...
The 3919801 Intake is a Iron 2bbl unit - common on 1968 327/210

SirGeo, yep part of why I paid $9K US for it....all new original GM pannels (incl GM stamp), new qtrs all round, new valance front and rear, new floor pan, new trunk pan, solid doors that don't sag...I was after a very solid body that I could visually see was in good shape....just dying for it to get here so I can get started
:D
