Whining like it's hot... whining like it's hot

Hey,

Can anyone offer some advice, when my Chev is hot it gets a pretty dramatic whining noise... almost sounds like a tyre rub, it only happens when the car is hot and when I de-accelerate. It's driving me bananas... when driving I can't pin point where it is coming from.

People have said various things like a wheel bearing (just replaced, still noise), tyre rub (spacers and still noise), gear box....... arrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhh it's driving me mad literally.

I'm telling you.. i stil think it's tyre rubbing... you can see the spots where it runs and the whining only kicked in once you put in the new wheels... but i suppose you tried spacers and it sitll does it..

hmmm.. what else was changed just before this happened?

Perhaps your diff? A ring and pinion noise will do that;)
