Hello Gary... yes we speak Old's very well sir.... we rebuild all American V8 engines... all are custom built & all are roller cam'd... we do not build FLAT TAPPET cam'd engines... unless customer insists
Are you looking for a street built 455 ?

On web site yes we do have a web site www.fastcoauto.com BUT it is 100% outdated.. by quite a few years... & we no longer build those spec engines
Dam wish i was more of a computer guy ... too upgrade site completly
We are working with a web site design guy now to completly redo site

Maybe the customer is not being as honest about the crack in the block as they could be and trying to put it back on the supplier?? its been done before.

Everyone on forums are honest arent they>

Cost of this engine to Craig prox $8000 USD ( sold under our race team engine sponsor program)
Engine was 100% perfect when it left us here in the USA... we spent days on the dyno with Craigs engine insuring it was 100% perfect in all ranges and it was..
Dyno test was over seen by me & Joe & Ken Hentz & Paul Ponnesia all of us wiith a combined experance of over 100 years in the engine building & design business.. we all busted our A's on that engine and flog'd the ****e out of her on the dyno knowing it was a 100% OFF ROAD only use engine & would have the ****e kicked out of it for days @ a time.... it passed ALL tests 100%
No issues oir leaks anywhere , she performed perfect @ all RPM's & engine loads for hrs on the dyno.
Here is CRAIG'S engine on the dyno
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/fastco/th_Craigsdynotest3.jpg (http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/fastco/?action=view&current=Craigsdynotest3.mp4)
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/fastco/CRAIGSDYNO.jpg
Craig got engine loaded it... drove it round for weeks then 3000+ miles... to other side of Australia to a race with no issues then raced the ****e out of it for days in the out back all off road... then said it got HOT while race'n it.....and shut it down... till that point he was 100% over the moon.

My call is the engine was OVERHEATED during all out race'n off road from what i do not know.... or engine was raced full bore with severe detonation occouring, engine was NOT sent back to me for full inspection & verification of hidden block & head heat tabs / over heated engine indicators condition.

Here's an e-mail from Craig to me.... as he was flog'n his new engine

Hi Daryl
Gave the engine a go work out on week end, sounds and goes great we are off to first round in 4 weeks only problem we had we an oil leak at rear of engine i hoped it was sump but that looked ok so i will replace rear main seal today , can you tell me did you set main bearing cap bolts to standard

Engine block could not have been CRACKED as he claimed / passed dyno testing for 2 days 0 issues & drove 3000 miles 0 issues then raced.... there is no way that block was cracked when it was sent.. simply impossible... in my world.

Daryl, good to here your response, couple of quick observations from me
that motor you filmed on the dyno doesn't sound like it has the issues he claims it has
and the dyno test done feb 10th then his post on Ford forum is sept 13th, any idea what happened in that 7 month period ?

Noticed in his rant on ford forum he says the motor finally got to him after a huge delay
You dyno it feb 10th, he gets it march, aint no delay in that at all
in my view this guy isnt being 100% honest from the start :(

Thanks for clearing up your side of the story Fastco, i wasn't trying to stir s*** at all, i'd be happy with your response. Distance makes it hard to prove/disprove anything. Sometimes **it happens. I'd enjoy that much sponsored work on a Mopar BB stroker!

The real issue would be how long it took to get to the Dyno? No?
The "huge delay" would be between order and delivery not between Dyno and delivery.

Hello John no problem sir... always nice to let people read both sides of a dispute... Yes distance can be a SOB... i'd love go to Craigs & tear that engine down right in front of Craig & personaly see the damage that was done.. & clearly explain what i see with my own eyes to him.. severe engine damage does not just happen out'a the clear blue sky.... there are tell tale signs of why an engine would crack a block or why internal parts would ware out rapidly..... eg signs of sever overheating / heat tab centers pop'd out @ 260 to 280 F these tabs are placed all over the motor heads & block... internal & externally... there is no trickng these tabs... they pop that engine reached operating temps of above 260 F

And engine detonation conditions are a easy read...... also as we all know

Anyway time to move on....

John on MOPAR.... glad to hear what your looking to build & supply info on our engine sponsorship program & what we can do for you.
Here's a photo of our last MOPAR drag race sponsor engine... SB 360cid stroked to 408 cid...560+ BHP. all out war drag race engine full bore race internals with Brodix B1 heads P&P by me.. solid roller cam'd SS rocker shafts ect ect runs mid to high 8's:D in alterd dragster.
