Alright,

I've goten to the stage where i think i can start organising putting my camaro back together for test fitting purposes etc.. and thought i might upgrade some bits and pieces along the way..

My question is.. are tubular control arms legal?

by tubular i mean these:

I'd need the ones with the fittings for the original springs as shown above.. you can buy the lowers ones with coilover attachments, but i think that would be over kill....

Heres a LINK (http://www.globalwest.net/1967-69%20Camaro,%20Firebird%20and%2068-74%20Nova%20Suspension%20Components%20.html#Tubula r%20tie%20rod%20sleeves,) to a mob that sell them, might not get them from there, probably from classic industries....

Anyway.. anyone have these on? and can someone tell me if they are legal (in Vic)...?

P.S. Vic roads are a big let down.. can't tell me a thing.....

dunno steve best talk to an engineer........ there's a set going on my pro street regardless.. can't remember what make the ones I'm getting are called have to ask the chassis guy!

Really thinking about the whole situation I can't see why not man.... as long as they run your stock bushings etc there's no harm done!

hmm.. i also thought it shouldn't be a problem, but had a few people (from the hot rodding scene) comment that it would be something i'd need an engineers approval for...

not sure who to believe..

Rang Vic Roads (the people that ok this stuff down here) and they didn't have a clue what i was talking about.. all they could tell me was about wheel sizes and bonnet scoops

I'll have to hunt down a local engineer and question them....
