Just got my 5 leaf springs and adaptor kit from the States to change from single leaf rear end on a 69 Camaro. Anyone had a experince with this set up for choosing suitable shocks ?
Want better than stock. Not sure if the single leaf shocks fit Multileaf set up
Application is street but want the beast to hook up and handle with a big block
Any ideas on what good and fits ?? :)

If you want to sell the mono leaf spring plates let me know I need a set!

I think Shocks would be different.... I got KYB's for mine.... reasonable price.. and good performance.... best shocks for the $$ if you ask me...

I got the 5 leaf springs, shackle set, pads, bushes, mount brackets, u bolts and shock plates. I just want the suspension up to big block SS standard. I am not going the pro touring route.

Will let you know when the conversion is done, plan to do the lot when the floor comes out which is in about 2-3 months. Are you in Melbourne ???

Hi,
I have just changed the rear suspension on my 69 camaro and found that on the standard mount brackets the shock sits too low for big off set rims, so check if it sits low the best off set you can have is 4 inch. Does anyone know who does them where they sit level with the plate. On my tramp rods that i just took off they sit level and you can get 5 1/2 inch back space easy.
I am sure mine has 5 leafs with koni shocks and unsure of the brand stabiliser bar and it rides nice and firm.
cheers.

Sir Geo
Will be done when the floor is replaced next month. I think I will wait to measure up for shocks. Have been told the shocks are the same for single leaf and multi, but will wait and see. Have been told gas Koni,s work well
