View Full Version : Wanted 1968 Impala Pillarless Aust. spec.
Hi all
I noticed there's someone else on the forums looking for a similar car (not a 68 though) for exactly the same reason I am...parents had one, I want one etc...:)
I've done some googling and so on and they are few and far between.
Any thoughts on where I could find one are welcome.
DJ
There's 2 on Carpoint right now:
'68 Impala Pillarless (http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=8838386&__sid=125749484046&__Qpb=true&Cr=2&__Ns=pCar_YearMade_Int32|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1| |pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0&keywords=&__N=834%201216%201246%201247%201252%201282%2042949 66907%204294966906&seot=1&__No=15&__Nne=15&trecs=30&silo=1011)
... and this one I believe use to be owned by either a forum member (http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=8935115&__sid=125749484046&__Qpb=true&Cr=8&__Ns=pCar_YearMade_Int32|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1| |pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0&keywords=&__N=834%201216%201246%201247%201252%201282%2042949 66907%204294966906&seot=1&__No=15&__Nne=15&trecs=30&silo=1011), or a friend of forum member.
There is ALWAYS at least 1 for sale, and they vary between bargains, over-priced rust-buckets, tidy survivors & custom show cars - so it really just depends on what you're wanting, and your budget.
Just keep eying eBay, Carpoint, Trading Post - one will definitely pop up.

I have a 68 Pillarless Fastback, not custom. She is a beauty, in need of restoration but 99% rust free, starts and runs but will need basic mechanical tune up to be roadworthy. I am undertaking to restore her next year. Anyway this is a rare car and I know what you are going through took me 5 years to find it.

G'day mate, welcome to the forum, got any pics of the '68?
