Hi All,

My name is Andrew,
My car is a 1978 Pontiac Trans AM Y88 Special edition.
Im a member of the Pontiac Car Club of Victoria, where the help of the members (especially Trans Am Oz) helped me a lot when looking for my car.
It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to own a Trans Am and now I live that dream! :)
I imported this car late last year from Arizona and she was safely home at my place in Feb. I am the 3rd owner of this car and it came with a mountain of paperwork, even the original pre purchase inspection checklist signed off!!
A little about her (Winnie), she's a Y88 Special edition, reversal of colours from the black and gold special edition (trans am oz's Y84) 1 of 6,519 auto Y88's made. She has the 6.6ltr Pontiac 400 engine, 3 speed auto, gold fisher t-tops with a mountain of options - elec windows and boot release, tilt steering wheel, rear defroster, AC, cruse control and WS6 handling package which consists of
15 x 8 rims, larger diameter sway bar and tighter steering box ratio.

Have taken her to a few shows and have been lucky to get the Police Choice Award at the American Classics show at Lilydale.

Nice to see the pics of my car up, and I do appreciate you looking after Winnie for me Andrew!!!! One day I will pull the impala out of the garage, so I can put your car next to our Trans Am.. and then lock the garage.. She is one beautiful car, you deserve to be very happy with a TA that is in fantastic condition. Just wait until we get that original 8 tracker radio into her.

Cheers

I like the '78s best. They have the best looking nose cone/headlights from that era imo.
If I were ever to defect from Mopar I'd be looking at one of those myself.
Great score!
