Hi Brett. What's the actual build year & month of your 69? Just be aware that ADRs were introduced on Jan 1st of 1969 so you may not have to comply with everything and engineer/RWC guy assumes.
Sash seat belts for example.

Brett,
All you will need to do is change the sealed beams to Australian ones which you can buy from Veales or coventrys. The original seats belts you have in the car as long as they have no faults will be fine.
Ring up the DPI and book in at Midland for the car to be inspected. The guys are great out there and if the car has everything working ie: lights horn hand brake etc then the car should breeze through.
All you need is the import approval papers and proof of ownwership and once the car has passed inspection go and pay at the licensing centre.
Save yourself the coin and do it yourself as Its dead easy as I only recently did it myself.
If you really dont want to then pm AUSCAMARO (Mitch) as he could do it for you for a very fair fee.
Cheers,
Clayton.

I thought ADRs started mid 72? Thats what the Govt import guys in Canberra said when I called them about my 72 Suburban. I managed to get my 72 Suburban registered without changes (apart from headlights).

There were 1st introduced at the start of 1969 and have they have continued to introduce them ever since, as more rules and regulations are required.
Air bag ADRs, for example, couldn't have possibly been introduced in 1969 or 1972.
The First Edition ADRs were distributed for discussion purposes. However, they were not adopted as a legally binding set of standards under either national or state/territory law.
The Second Edition ADRs first came into effect on 1 January 1969.
