Hello all,

I am looking for a bit of help?

I am looking at buying a 1968 Mustang from the US. It has been "restored" by a company called classic-recreations.com I know it isn't most peoples can of beer, in short it is a licensed build by Shelby. It is something that I like anyway.

Assuming if I do buy it and get import approval (I don't see it being a problem from those I have spoken to) The main things I need to ask are that it has been fitted with 5 point cam lock harness seat belt, now as it is per 69 can I leave them in or should I pull them out for engineering. Do I need to fit different seat belts. I have done some searching but can not find much on harness seat belts. They are fixed from the roll bar at the roof.

Does anyone know of an engineer I should talk to in Sydney for these types of things.

Thanks

US Steel.. Contact Ron Missen over at Ingleburn on 02 9605 9001.
He does this in one of my former cars but has 69 Camaro's and races them all around the country as well. He runs Missen Motorsport or something like that.. good engineering mechanics, not cheap but know about your era and RTA approved seat belt fitters.
