Yes, John was a long time member of the Chev club many years ago, and along with his family, had several cars involved in the club outings, etc.

I had the pleasure of meeting John a couple of times, once after he was diagnosed with cancer. This was at a drag meet, held in his honour, at the Canberra A grade strip, not long after it opened.
