Hi all,
I am new to the forum and I'm from Perth. I don't own a Camaro "yet" but I am working on it.
I was hoping some of you kind folk could give me an opinion on this 69 Camaro (http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=8219701&__Qpb=true&Cr=7&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32 |1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&SearchAction=N&YearToShort=1661&__N=1247%201282%201252%201246%204294966907%201216% 204294960894%20%201661&seot=1&silo=1011&__Nne=20&trecs=42&__sid=126389D26CB0)
I looked at it today and it seems ok although it is not registered, got some rust in one of the A pillars and the doors and the paint work is not as nice as it looks in the pic, it has a pretty lumpy 355 Stroker in it that would require some quietening before it went over the pits although once wark it idles quit nicely and it has a minispool diff that would also need to be replaced. The interior seems very good. I'm just not experienced enough with Camaros to know if this is a reasonable price to pay.
I have thought about trying to buy on from the US but don't think I want the hassle.
I want a car that I can garage and drive for a couple of years while slowly bringing it back to it's best.
Any advice / assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys the next time you bring your cars out for a show / meet.
Thanks all
Darren.
