Took Top Panel and Paint at Mopars in Mackay mid August

Weekend before last I went to Atherton Car Show and took
Top Mopar
Top American
Runner Up Tuff Street
Encouragement Award (coz it still aint finished)

Last weekend at Collinsville Car Show it took
Top Mopar
Top Interior
Car of The Show
People's Choice

I probably should finish it off before I show it again.
I only took it to these shows because I'd promised certain people earlier this year I'd take it to their shows so I kept my word

Absolutely beautiful car Ken. Love everything about it. You must be rapped the way it has turned out.

Mate,I am.
I really am.
A little bit of history about the direction I took.

When I originally bought the car the idea was full on pro street 650hp,tubs,aluminium interior, cage, etc, etc, and the colour was to be panther pink.

When the car arrived it was just too good and valuable to go chopping up so I decided then and there it would be a restification(restoration with modifications). This itself was daunting to me as I've never atempted anything that's pretty. In the past I've been known for sound engineering and high performance but appearance has always been B-grade.Those that know me well are pretty well stunned that I've built something show quality myself. So am I because believe me-I had doubts as to my own ability to achieve this sort of level.

Anyway, the 69 barracuda came along which is what I pro-streeted.It was built pretty quickly so I still had something to play with which meant rushing the challenger never was an issue.

The whole car is quite understated.Just plain perfect.Any modifications are very mild and you'd probably need to be a challenger guru to pick most of them.
The interior is quite stark in black and white with sublime body colour highlights replacing the original fake woodgrain trims but it works.
The enginebay is also almost original looking with a little bling to set it off.

I'll have to get some good interior and engine shots to show you.

Still a few minor things to do to finish it but it's oh-so-close.

Thanks for the positive feedback!!!

They didn't seem that hard to get but then I am a mopar bloke through and through and I've got a pretty good idea of where to find what I need.
I have heard that mopar stuff is harder to get than GM or Ford but having never built any brand X stuff I really wouldn't know first hand.

Know what you mean.
I always seem to overhear some "expert" telling his mate/gf/wife all about my "mustang" whether I'm in the challenger or the barracuda.

It's interesting though.
Obviously to the "non car people" public any pony car is a mustang.

I hate "Nice Chevy" being yelled at me. Want a sticker on the back- "NOTAFARKENCHEV" or like i had on my Trans Am a red circle with the diagonal line through the Chev bow tie.LoL
