I managed to get a set of 041 casting heads ( 300hp) of a 350 about 2 years ago with the right date codes but cant find a block with the right date codes always early 68 or late 69 trying to get jan or feb. Have seen a few with the engine codes in the states still on them, only last week a hb and a hd the hb is still for sale for $3000 Us and the hd went for $400 Us but i was told about the later to late, both where complete. My 69 has the original muncie and 12 bolt but the motor is not original and is 74 date code. I will take your advise and try a few local importers. Thankyou

Thanks for your reply, on the back of the block at the top there should be a date stamp it should read something like 3 d 9 meaning 3 april 1969 etc, could you check it for me although from the numbers you gave me i think it is a 1974 - 78 block. cheers

sorry to reply so late i have been away, what are the block and head casting numbers. I am chasing early 69 either jan or feb as i have march built. The numbers should be located at the back of the block and near the 041 numbers on the heads. Also what are the numbers on the pad of the block. cheers.

Says it was removed from a 69 camaro but doesn't show casting number, date code or suffix code so could be anything. ;)
Might be worth asking the question though.
I have a 69 dated 4 bolt main 350 here (casting 3932386) with 69 dated double hump fuellie heads (casting 3927186) sitting here that I may be pursuaded to part with.

Thanks for the post about the engine on ebay.com.au it wasnt what i was after. I managed to source two early 1969 date coded blocks from the states last week will ahve to wait a few weeks to see what there like, and may have found a set of 041 heads to match will find out next week.
