View Full Version : What Would Be Your 2nd Choice?

With so many of us on this forum who have chosen to own a 1st Gen Camaro as our favorite muscle car, it asks the question..

Would our 2nd choices be just as predictable?

Not talking rare options, certain modifications or considering values..
If you had to choose just ONE alternative to the car you have now, what would it be?

Me.. 69 Corvette

No no... The Mustang is what I can afford.. it is not my first choice. It is a compromise.

There are so many. Early 70's Cuda or late 60's Roadrunner I reckon. Completely stock and LHD.

69-60 Dodge charger with a 426 Hemi. The movie Bullitt really ****s me because the charger really would have kicked the 390 Mustang arse
Considering the stang had a a single wheel diff also ( watch the movie ) They used the exhaust sound from a GT40
The problem witha charger is would it fit in the garage

You should of come and seen me in the late 70's. I sold one (factory fitted 350) for $2800!!! I shudder when I think of that and how much they go for today.

Realistically it's a 1st choice if I think about it!! $$$ being the major contributing factor as to why I don't have one.... MOPAR's are simply waaaay outta my league price wise!

that 61 buick is awesome:D

I am planning as trip to the USA in August, so I will be selling my 57 buick and maybe saving/selling whatever I have so I can go shopping over there.

I did consider selling my 70 roadrunner, but only so I can buy a hemi powered roadrunner (cant afford an original one, so a pro-touring/restomod will do:rolleyes: )

but if I had my roadrunner and was to have a second choice.....

Hmmm.. seems I'm not the only Cuda-lover  Must be the big curvy Camaro-esque C pillars :D Was my first interest until $$ prevented.. and a 69 Charger or 70 Challenger wouldn't fit in my garage..

4317 4315

But if had to be just one other & realistic? Hmm.. It changes regularly, but a few Malibu's have been doing it for me lately. More cruise than muscle perhaps, but cool as hell

4318 4316

If we're in fantasyland, anything to roll out of Southern Rod & Custom sounds good to me :p

70 challanger is the same size as a camaro, the chargers are bigger:rolleyes:Sorry Plodge old chum, but you under estimate the size of my miniscule single garage. The 'Challenger is 7" longer & 4" wider than my Camaro (which fits with just 2" to spare - Seriously) ;) Yes, Chargers are a whole other story of course - Could back one in if chopped at the firewall :D

I wouldnt have picked 7" ??
I am going off memory when I went from a 69 camaro to a challanger, neither fitted in my carport properly but they didnt seem that much different!
