Would love to use mine as a daily but my daily is such a bucket that it's a nice little rush everytime I fire the cammy up! It's in the panel shop at the moment as some stooge did a hit and run on me in a car park! :( I just hope they can match the paint well!!!

Fingers crossed my Mazda 1800 'Gold Finger' can get over its head gasket issue and make an appearance alongside the fresh '69 :)
I will be there shooting for Street Machine & Perth Street Car.
It is always a good day out and I might actually attend the cruise part of the day this time :)

Clayton, will the 69 be ready for Saturday ?
Its looking good at this stage mate:)
I was hoping to have it licensed but it wont be:(
I will just use the dealer plates from work and that way I can drive it:)
I'm yet to pick the car up from the suspension place and then I have so many things to finish to get it to a respectable stage but its so so close.
I'm over it as I have worked like mad over the last few weeks to get it ready and I would be pissed if I dont get it done in time.
My bro will take some pics of it when its done and I will put some up and give it a write up.
Cheers boy's:)

Got her back from the body shop on Monday and they did a great job matching the colour and fixing the damage! But unfortunatley they smashed the rs grill by accident :( they are paying for the replacement I ordered but doubt it will be here in time for the run! Ah well that's life!

I personally think this is one of the best events in Perth (except that year they let the bloody ricers in haha) and the best thing is it's free for spectators.

Yep, cruise starts at 4pm Christian, takes a while to get 700+ cars out through the gate so i don't usually bother trying to move until about 4:30

I saw your 69 at Bigs Als today, Snapped a few photos of it. Is it the same one in your avatar? If so, why the hell would you not keep it frost green and those rims look stupid on it and any other Camaro. A nice set of Rallyes would do the car justice.

I think the rims really set the 69 off, maybe I am a little biased as I sold them to Clayton.
Wheels can make or break a car, the rims make it stand out from the 5000 other 1st gen camaros in Perth of which 50% have rallye wheels
I also think a little more tact is required when commenting on somebodies car.

You my friend need to wake up and realise its 2010 not 1969:)
What we choose to do to our cars is up to us and if we all had your mindset the world would be a very boring place.
Personally I hated the original green and Rallye wheels have to be the worst type of factory rims on a car other than 12 slotters on Fords.
I dont go and bag people for having there own opinions and maybe you should think before you open your mouth up;)

I am being gentle when I say this...
You are a genuine ****head.
Your opinion is valid only in your lunchbox - to be shared with your father and your uncle.
What gives you the right to make a statement like that anyway?
My guess, nothing...
Clayton has done a brilliant job at tidying the car up and the rims suit the car very well.
The frost green colour looked ****house and the original wheels you speak of are crap.
You would have to an idiot to return it to standard!
**** originality I say and **** it with a big stick!
Standard cars are boring, lifeless and uninspiring.
People build cars to suit their taste and not somebody elses anyway - so why criticise?
As the saying goes, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Simple.
If you posted pics of 'YOUR' cars I wouldn't get online and bag you so why don't you think about that before you fire off more pathetic bull**** from behind your keyboard.
Let it rest now chief.

Bit contradictory there?
Don't get me wrong, the car looks sweet. I went up to it and had a good look at it and the attention to detail is superb, what's more, you did the panel and paint in 3 weeks which is an effort beyond most. What I was trying to state, but may have come across too aggressive is, I personally prefer an original Camaro to any of the modified ones today. While your car does look awesome, It wouldn't be my first choice of rims and paint, but nevertheless, a nice car.

Clayton, awesome car, love the colour (yellow being my fav) and huge improvement in such a short period of time.
Rims look sweet.
Justin, in 2 threads you attack people for their choices. if you don't like it there are kinder more gentle ways of expressing that than telling the owner his wheels are ****ed. A simple note saying car looks great awesome job but my personal preference is more standard trim. No need to get all aggressive. I can tell ya, those of us working our arses off and spending our hard earned could care less what you think of our cars. Nearly all the cars on this board are modified, not all but most, we all love standard cars also, we don't tell owners of standard cars they are ****ed for not modifying them.
Bottom line is you have shown amazing immaturity you have some damage control to do bud if you want any support from folks on this board.

I'd have to agree with the other posters, its all personal taste and what someone does to their own vehicle is their choice not mine, like what I do to mine is my choice and no one elses.
There was a Corvette down there covered in a skull theme with airbrushing and custom parts. Definately not my style but loved looking at it and checking out all the details and good on the guy for making something different.
I saw the car in question and thought it looked amazing, would have introduced myself but no one around. And I think I saw your Camaro Will but again didn't see anyone near it. Same with Plodges Roadrunner. I'll have to make it to the next meet if my car is still on the road then so I can say hi.
Speaking of rims I loved the Red Challenger that was sporting the 20" rims. Again not what I would have gone with but they looked great on the car.
Well thanks for the nice comments mate:rolleyes:

I dont mind someone commenting on my cars on the way they look, i take it all on board, each to their own. All my mates comment on each others cars, on what probably looks better or not. I agree with cluxford comments. You dont have to be so blunt and use language as you have. A simple comment is all is needed.
Everyone builds cars to their tastes and dont mind some opinions from other people on what they like or prefer. At the end of the day, not everyone has the same build theme as you.

Rallye wheel comment is a bit over the top. Thats your opinion and thats fine, no everyones fav, but it is the most Popular GM factory wheel and theres a reason why it is.

Well said :D For us poor buggers with lefties on Historic/Club rego we don't really have any options but to keep it stock or appear to be stock.I've lowered mine and got the biggest tyres I can fit on Magnum 500 factory wheels and thats about as far as I can go.Would love a set of 18's......but thats a no no.
Maybe a set of old school minilites as per Moffat Mustang might be acceptable.
What can't be seen is a different matter though.
I think the idea is to appreciate a car for what it is-ie in the context of -yea thats a nice resto or restomod etc etc.
As Bluntman says(re corvette)-if you take the time to absorb the detail of someone elses car -even if its not your style-you can still take away with you an admiration for the blood sweat and tears required to create the car.
If we all liked exactly the same thing it'd be a pretty boring world.;)
