Guys I'm looking to find the owner of a ZD Fairlane which is Nugget Gold in colour with the rego number UIW-814.
The car was at the recent All Ford Day at Bassendean.
Any info would be great and I'm hoping some of you Ford boys might know something.
Cheers,
Clayton.

No need for this thread anymore guy's as I found the car at Big Al's Poker Run:)
The amazing thing was the car was parked only meters away from my Camaro:D
The current owner of the ZD is a great guy and when he is ready to sell the car I will be getting a call:D:D within the next 18 months hopefully.
I'm over the moon and cant wait to get the car:D:D:)
Cheers,
Clayton.

I know the car you are speaking of and I can see why you'd want to buy it, is a beautiful machine. Always liked the ZD, its the grill and headlights I think.

Well mate my main reason for wanting the car is sentimental.
The car belonged to my Grandad and my father purchased it new for him back in 1970 it was a special order and took ages to arrive. My dad bought another 2 ZD's at the same time with one going to my mum and the other became his Taxi.
When Grandad passed away my arsehole uncle sold it at auction without telling me.
I was shattered as I had grown up with that car and all the memories it provided. I was 100% sure I was going to get the car but my Grandad became seriously ill and passed away and we never got a chance to say goodbye or discuss the car. I still get wound up over it now.
I will be over the moon when I finally get it and I will never sell it no mater what.
Cheers,
Clayton.
Clayton, that story makes it all the more impressive that you managed to track it down and get it back into the family! I wish I could find my Dads XB GT coupe he had whilst I was growing up, mum made him sell it and buy a Corolla :(

That is a great story, lucky you found it again and that the owner isn't to attached to it to sell it.
The only car my dad had that was semy worth owning was an old Marquis, like the shape but a **** car. It's still on the road though, I see it every couple of years.
He had alot of very cool cars in his time but that was before he had kids to worry about.

Good to hear everyone likes to hear about this happy ending story:)
Now while we are on the Fairlane subject does anybody have or know of 4 mint doors to suit it ? doors from the early XT,XR,XW & XY sedan will all fit.
The doors look to have some rust in the bottoms and when I get the car I would like to restore it to concourse condition.
Cheers,
Clayton.
