V8 Supercars this weekend...as in today!!

Hi all.

Any WA guys that are keen to hit the V8's?

The Mrs boy and I are about to shoot off this morn and I have two spare passes. They are all access (except for corporate areas) and I will have them with me. We will be on gate 40 side which is the last corner.

If you want and I still have, then give me a call and I'll come out and hand em to ya.

I only have the two spare and they HAVE TO BE RETURNED as they are property of Garry Rogers Motor Sport.

P.S. The historics are there and Moller is on pole in his 68 Camaro. Had a good chat with him and his mechanic yesterday. Good guys. He likes to drift it around the last corner as well!!:D

Awesome day today!!

Started at 7am with a first hand look at GRM's Pit Practice and then breakfast with the entire team. Hayden decided to help himself to Lee Holdsworth's and his engineers breaky!!! Pretty funny. Great bunch of guys though.

Had a chat with Mark Skaife and commented on him leaning all over Deano's 67!! He had a laugh at that.

Stopped and had a chat with Dick Johnson for a bit and Hayden had a photo taken with him, also had a bit of a chin wag with Cromley down on pit lane after he finished doing a live telecast and also got my mug on the big screen after the first race finished... We had an absolute blast! Hayden was making a nuisance of himself in GRM's pit garage helping out where he could. Pushing tyres was about his limit.

Can't wait till tomorrow. Same again, down on pit lane for some pit practice straight up! Oooh Yeahhh!!

By the way, still got a spare pass or maybe two...depending....

Mitch, I'd be hitting you up for a pass if I was there.
I haven't missed a Clipsal 500 yet (11 years I think)
It's not just the cars, it's also the atmosphere, the blokiness of the weekend, no work, can't hear the mobile even if work is ringing. I bloody love it!!
We have 3 (or 4) days (depending on work) of cars, beer, generally unhealthy food and we just have a great time.

Wish I was there.

Good stuff Mitch. I had tickets and paddock passes for today, but couldn't make it. I am going to be at the Sydney 500 in a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to the Cold Chisel concert!

Saw the Freestylers Jamie... Didn't see any backflips though. Whenever there was a break we'd duck into the pits and anoy the boys!!

Spewing Albert. You missed out on a great weekend.

Unfortunately Lee Holdsworth 'T' Boned one of the Kelly boys after the JD Car was spun infront of him :( Lee was coming second aswell.. Was looking at a definate podium finish!

Caruso also got done over by the prang as he had to go wide to avoid it which put him under the pit lane timer even though he didn't go into pit lane, so that effectively dropped him down a lap when the Safety Car came out!!

I got down onto the pit wall a few times throughout the day today and listening to those V8's at full noise less than 2metres away is sensational..

I took a few quick vids off the top of the wall too...

This was Tam's highlight!!
