Guys,

Hope I am not upsetting anyone but I need to throw this out there.

I really liked this forum it was fun, informative and many of us starying or deep into projects and all seemed to have a similar outlook on life and I think we all appreciated the fact that it's not full of w4nkers like some other forums.

My only complaint is News Man.

Been interested in some of the news links but not most, and it's getting to be like spam...I jump on here every day for a quick check of the latest....but all these news links just clog up the real content / info......

How do others feel ?

yeah im with you on that one... informative.. but as a ratio to the amount of members and posts its pretty blown out of proportion.. but i guess just another way to save us from wasting time browsing for the info :)

I never read it... don't care for it... for me its all about the finer things in life ;) I'm sure you all know what I'm reffering too...

I can fire him if ya's want..

But you can also choose to ignore him from you "New Posts" section...

In your user control panel (top button on the left) go to "Edit Options"

From there just click on the News Section...

Once you do that it will ignore his threads from the new posts section. And yes his thread are removed every few weeks manually...

But if no one reads the articles he spits out i'll turn him off on wednesday :)

leave it on....I'm sure others want to see it...I'll just do what you said, didn't know I could do that but will do it right now....

I think we had this same post a while back. I too was pretty much fed up with damn news man but Steve pointed out how to silence the little blighter.......
Has made the forum much more barable for me :D

It's just an RSS feed built into the forum software.. need to then find a relevant RSS feeder (i can supply a few if you want) and set it to post.

If you need a hand just let me know...
