OK, what a fricken saga.
So I thought my Budnik's were on order. Turns out they aren't. 4 weeks wasted.
I'm so pissed at Budnik I've decided that I refuse to do business with them. Second time they have screwed with me, I normally never give businesses a second chance.
OK so on the hunt for a new set of wheels now.
I'm thinking Rushforth Concepts. Will mean a new steering wheel as wheel but no biggy.
Thoughts ?
17 x 7 on front with 1" dish
17 x 12 on rear with 6.5" dish
Any other options? I like lots of metal (ie no narrow or thin spokes). I'd actually do Convo Pro's if they made em in 17"

Hey, Dont you mean Gav....I like a more solid looking wheel too (on a Muscle Car anyway). These will look good on your car Chris. I like how they do the dish with no step in them.

I've got the rally wheels on at the moment Steve. I'm a bit of wheel addict as well Mitch, got 2 sets of Convo's, a set of Rally's and can even use the Weld Pro Star's off the '57 :D
Chris, i'd love to see Convo Pro's made in larger diameters as well.......

I've had Rallies for years and I love them, but just the other day I bought some Wheel Vintiques' wheels.. I was out painting them this evening and still have my nostrils full of overspray!! :p
I only have the two 15x7s at the moment as the rears (15x8s) are on backorder..
(Here's a clue.. ;) http://www.firstgencamaro.com/photogallerypics/1969/69camaro9.jpg )

I've only ever ran F60-15 Firestone Wide Ovals on the front with M/T Indy L60s on the rear. I love the look of bias profiles, but want to have radials this time for better handling. ..and see how good (or bad :p) my conversion is..
You're right though.. Bias are a much better looking tire.

hey steve aren't those wheels called Poverty pack when they where released in the states?
they will look great on your beast, can't wait to see it on the road again.
I run rallies on my car and i can't get enough of them espically with the right suspension height.

There were nicknamed "poverty" wheels because all the base model / no option cars had them. Never officially named that though.
A better term in my opinion is "dog-dishes" because of their obvious resemblance.
Then, they were normal boring wheels. Today, they're a nice refreshing change to all the chome/polished/billet 20 inchers that are almost the norm.
But you guys know me.. I'm hardly a fan of bling which is why I love them. :D

That's right because apart from their engines, the COPO cars were actually base model cars with very few, sometimes no other options.
Hey Bazil, is that your 68 in your avatar?
