Since there seems to be more and more selling on this site between members, is there something that can be added to either the Buy Sell Trade section or maybe a rating just under the avitar area that shows if others recommend dealing with the particular member??

Hahahaaaa..... Well, I would like people to be honest atleast ;)
Just a general thread section where you can sing the praises of someone that you have dealt with if you have had a good experience or not.

Trouble then is there is really no defence for people trying to do the right thing and somebody being outright tricky.. Can we rate & give them a public negative/neutral/credit after each transaction & ban if they get say three stricks...from selling or posting also like the Ebay way, it helps to get the seller in a bind & you can presure them for cheaper & cheaper prices untill they give up or go bankrupt as you threaten them with negatives. Can we neg them for a parts that are not as good as we wanted or as functional as we needed, or if a carrier does not deliver on time or they damage it. What if they buyer is dishonest (never happens) but it could. What if the buyer and seller are really traders trying to pump up their business & start spaming the system.. is there a limit... do you permit business advertising on the site for local gansters and nice American suppliers who provide perfect nearly free parts, then allow people to bag whoever they feel, the customer basically being judge and jury.?
.. shoulds like a great idea.

Yeah i can add a trader feedback like i have on another board..
Looks like this..
http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/itrader.php?u=1184
And Unfortunately it works on an honesty system.. If there is an issue they come straight to me or another mod and it's usually sorted pretty good.. there is the risk of being banned for life if any funny business happens and that usually keeps them in line.. It's also just a guide, as i say it's not something that should be taken as gospel, just because they have a high trader rating, doesn't mean you shouldn't do your homework...
As for business advertising etc.. that's something we will need to cross as a group.. if it's no good for USM or you users, than we won't allow it...
To keep it simpler and maybe a little more honest and controllable, what about a 'Feedback' sub-forum within the Buy, Sell, Trade section?
You start a thread after a deal simply stating whether a transaction was smooth or not. If you're planning on buying from someone, you can do a quick search for the username in that forum and see what others have to say about their dealings. If something goes bad, it gives both parties a chance to air their sides of the story - although this will need to be moderated thoroughly to weed out the meaningless insults and random flaming.
Might be a little more honest and manageable than an actual eBay feedback style system. Easier to weed out the bull****.

More of an area to say... Gee thanks... and pass on some warranted gratitude!!

Imo
I Wouldn't Have A Problem Buying Stuff Off Any Of The Guys On This Site Because I Think We Are So Keen To Help Out In Any Way Possible With Parts Or "people You Know" To Help With Our Cars Or Anything Related However Minor It Might Be!!!
The W.a.guys Ive Met So Far This Year In Person Have All Been Great And Very Encouraging And I Think Its A Credit To All That Have Signed Up And Helped Out All Fellow Members.
And Im Pretty Sure If You Did Have A Bad Experience Down The Track With A Purchase From A Member That You Would Be Able To Sort It Out With A Minimum Of Fuss.
Just My 2 Cents Worth

I think basically most members on this board right now would be credible people to deal with... however with time it will bring more members and therefore increase the chances of bad traders... I need to drop this cliche' "BUYER BEWARE"

Just a thought for yall ... On a board I used to sponsor they had a sub forum in the classifieds section where you could leave feedback as a "thread/post" it's quite good! maybe we could add that... if it makes you guys happy?

Yeah, I have used the same thing on some of the forums I frequent.
As long as it doesn't turn into a ear bash thread and it's kept on topic then that would be great..
