How'd your vids come out?
Not bad - Unfortunately the battery died for the first run (while I was trying to get my front wheels into stage, as opposed to my rear wheels :o ), so we missed the whole "WOOOOOHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! That was f@#in MAD!!!" screams from inside the cabin at the end of it... But all good. Will get 'em up once work out how to download off digitape... Stay tuned!

Surprised they allow you to race with no hood ?? never seen that before. Some tuff cars and some great pics, looks like you had a lot of fun Deano :D

Great shots there Steve..
..and don't laugh at how slow those trucks went.. Years ago at Calder, I had my VK Interceptor running what I thought was a quick-for-stock 15.2 @ 90, and these two prime movers pulled up to the stage lanes to race each other. I thought "What the hell is going on here.."
Anyway, they both ran low 13s.
Pretty quick for what probably weighs 12,000lbs or more..

Steve and Deano... Wicked pics... Well done.
This is my favourite thread right now for sure!!
Hey Steve, I saw two Snappon Trucks race at Eastern Creek and they ran well into the 30's!!
Pretty funny, lots of black smaoke pluming from the stacks...

Excellent pics! Love it. The black and yellow 69 looks killer with the velocity stacks. You guys who get to race on a regular basis, because of the burnouts do you protect your paintwork with anything behind the wheels.

I have a can of "burnout guard" that stops the rubber sticking..

It's available here, but not sure through who..
There is also a company that will put a film of clear plastic on your paint. It's like a thick, protective decal. He's a local guy and is at most Victorian shows in a bottle green 70-71 Corvette.

I was going to ask if that was normal for burnouts. But only for steel belts getting too worn hey? Even up the top too!

Anyhoo best time was a 14.82 & best speed was 102mph (not 110 as I first thought - read the wrong lane:p ). Ultra mild 454, T350, 3.5s & street tyres.

Mate,
You need to get some tyres with grip! With that sort of mph you could drop a second off your ET.
