I'm looking for a clean 69 Camaro that is a good base.
I would prefer a car that is complete and running so that I can license it and then pull it apart and build to my requirements.
Not fussed on matching number rare cars and I dont want a restored big dollar car to start with.
Any leads would be great.
I'm in W.A but will pay for the transport from anywhere in Australia.
Cheers,
Clayton.

Well I spoke to the guy at East Perth and he sounded like a good bloke. The car he has is a 69 SS Clone and he he chasing $35K for it. He has $2K worth of new parts to go with it. The car is dark blue with white stripes with a 400 in it.
No more need for this thread though guys as I have purchased a 69 RS which is on its way from Victoria tomorrow.:)
I will start a new thread once it arrives in a few weeks.
I cant wait !!:)
I'm finally a Camaro owner:) :)

You don't muck around do you...
Were you in the market for a project car for a while, but undeceided what you want, or did you see Mitch's car and just had to have one?

The reasoning for wanting a Camaro was definetly influenced with me working on Mitch's car. I allready have a project car which is a Mazda RX87 but with what I was intending on doing was told I had no hope of getting it licensed.
The Camaro shape is similar in some ways to the car I was going to build and I'm intending to build a pro tourer style car so after weighing up my options and looking at several other types of cars I came back to the 69 Camaro.
I'm intending to build the car to drive the arse of it, take it to shows, run a 10 at the drags and be a rolling advertisment for my panel and painting skills.
I cant wait for it to arrive so I can finally begin the whole planning of the build and get the ball rolling.
Cheers guy's:)

Marty a BBC is a guarantee mate:) The bigger the better for sure:)
I'm going to ask plenty of questions and hear plenty of opinions before I lash out and buy a motor. Crate versus built etc also decide excatly what I want the car to be used for.
Cheers,
Clayton.

Good choice mate. The crate v build topic will be an interesting one on here when the time comes.
Might want to think about changing your username after you pick up your USMuscle tomorrow :p
