Bay to Birdwood

I am going to try and get my car ready for the Bay to Birdwood run this year.
It's on 27th September and is open to vehicles manufactured between 1 January 1956 and 31 December 1977
Should be good, if I can get mine on the road in time, and if the weather is OK.

I think I'll be pushing it Dave, but there is nothing like a traget to get you off your backside and get things finished.
I am finding a few minor problems but I suppose that is to be expected when you build from the ground up.

Well, I didn't get my car entered into the Bay to Birdwood as the entrants were maxxed out, but here are some pics of some who did enter.

If I can get a club inspection then I'll go to Regency and if that goes well I'll be there.
Maybe I'll have to change clubs.

You will have to get the Regency inspection done first before the club gives you the log book. Best way is just book it in to Regency, go in, if they pick anything, get those issues rectified and then rebook and they just look at those issues next inspection.

Nice pics Nev, must of been over 2100 cars there. Couple of tubbed 57 chev coupes which looked tough parked on the side of road while heading up to Birdwood.

Nice pics Nev. I didn't know there was so much American iron going on the Bay to Birdwood. I thought it was mainly for stock standard vintage stuff. Looks like I'll have to join in next year. Good one

There were so many cars it was incredible.
Many weren't entrants but it's amazing how an even like this gets them out (even though the weather was less than average)

Actually there were a lot of English cars there too (Jags, MG's, Rolls Royce etc etc), I just didn't take too many photos of them.
We can have a go the year after, next year is the "old" cars, built before 1956.

I found 5 of mine there already. They pretty much got every car on film with some great backgrounds.
