Hi all,
Well, I see we have a number of new members based in perth and I thought it may be high time to start thinking of another 'Get Together'.
Nothing has been sorted as yet and we would probably look at something in the next couple of months which will give us time to get our rosters sorted etc.
We may be able to time it with some upcoming event also? Will have a look at what there is in regards to automotive events in the near future.
Feel free to post some ideas up and any suggestions as per last time, otherwise we might just rock up round at Chris's place again :p ;)

Yep Sounds Good Mitch, maybe In September Or Somethin Like That???
Hopefully There Will Be A Few More Of Our Cars Up N Running Plus Some Of The New Guys Can Come Along Aswell???
And Maybe Bring Along Alist Of Parts Wanted And For Sale So We Can All Clear Out Any Loose Bits Out Of Our Sheds???

Might be a good idea to include a bit of a cruise on the day/night as well. Meet at the place of the get together and head out for a cruise, those that don't have their car on road can jump in with the guy's going on the cruise and then return to the meeting place for a BBQ

It seems that pretty much every major automotive event scheduled for Perth for the rest of this year and even early next year falls on my week at work!
I do however have a holiday request submitted for the V8 Super Car weekend and will hopefully be taking this off.
It is on from the 20th to the 22nd of November and I will have the 18th and 19th off also.
I'm sure there would be a few of you heading to the V8's for the weekend and maybe we could get together before hand for a catch up and then catch up in person again at the event?
Another thing I was thinking of was an AHG day? They hold days for clubs etc and set up Motorkhana type courses for you to test your vehicle and your skill on. I have done a few of these and they are great fun and relatively cheap.
I can look into costs and minimum numbers if anyone is interested in throwing their USMUSCLE around? I know the likes of Muggz could then also join in in his REX and maybe some of the others with cars 'in the build' could bring their dailys or other toyz...

Mitch, Sat Nov 21st is the Retro drags. A nostalgia type event new to the drag racing calendar for next season organised by the Motorplex. There is 2 of these events next season, the other is on Sun March 14th 2010, plus the annual Shannon's Nostalgia meet. So we have 3 nostalgia events to get a good turnout of usmuscle.com.au street racer's out on the track all at once.
An AHG day would be interesting, not sure how i would go around tight corner's with cheese cutter's on the front, but a lot of sideway's action is alway's fun :D

Hmmm, I would be keen but since my cousin is on a pretty successful team this year I will be attending the V8's.....for free of course :D

Thats the idea.... Lots of sideways action would be install for anyone in a USMUSCLE car I rekon. It would be about the only that these big cars would get around the witches hats I rekon!! ;)

Maybe a drift comp would suit some of us a little better. I like the idea of the AHG day if nothing else but a meeting place.
Bernie
Count me in, if im in country, think I had better go check my roster.. With any luck i'll have it registered by then :)

Have fun guys, I'll be at work unfortunately.
Further to this I was also thinking that we could possibly get together for the Armadale Auto Parts open day. All meet up at the show and then head somewhere for a feed after? Nicholson's Bar and Grill or the Last Drop Brewery etc??
Any thoughts?
It's on the 29/11/2009 10am-2pm.

Would the Mustang be welcome for something like this or is it a Chevs only thing? A mate of mine just scored a Chevy Nova if that gets me some points.
On another note, I live right near the AHG course and have a bbq.

Stangs are welcome... Got two work mates with them also and trying to get them to join up on the forum. I'm sure Keith will but Colin's not to computer literate. :D

By the way Chris has offered his place again if all and sundrie would rather a BYO meat and grog to Chris's instead of going to a resturant... Better parking at Chris's place!! :)

would glad to have you guys at the Armadale Auto Parts Open Day!!
its on 29/11/2009.
the other thing I could do is have you all meet at the shop on a sunday afternoon. We shut at 2, so maybe meet there around 2, I can put a BBQ on and you guys can have a look around etc while there are a few less people around (the open day attracts 1000-1500 people and 280+ cars !!)
Then maybe a cruise?
at least if you have a meet and greet on another day apart from the open day I might have time to actually talk to somebody and get to go on the cruise;)

So whats the consensus??? Do we need a poll...
Armadale Open Day and then out for a bite at either Chris's again or at a tavern or pub?
Wait until another weekend and meet up at Armadale Auto Spares on a Sunday and have a BBQ?
I'm out for the cruise but don't let that stop ya's  I know it won't! :D
What shall we do? Where is Chris by the way? He hasn't put his 2 cents forward yet??

Agree with Paul, i'm happy to catch up and do something on both dates. The more get together's we have the better i reckon. Also like Alan's idea and offer to put on a BBQ at his shop on a different day to the opening. Are you open on the Monday of the long weekend Alan ? maybe have the BBQ then and we can also incorperate a cruise through the hills somewhere. Not familiar with any cruise routes in the Armadale area so if anyone's got any idea's, lets here them.
Welcome Rex, yeah mate i remember chatting with you at Big Al's ;)

Thanks bro... yeah got the car going better but still no one to tune it.
Getting ready to covert from LT1 computer to a LS1 computer. If I can get it done before the get together. I would make it.
29th of September sounds good.. Count me in for whatever you guys have planned.. This will give me two weeks to get her registered.

Nearly correct mitch, I did have the Chevelle on the hoist making a list of what I need, it doesn't take long to add up :o
But now I will spend the next 2 weeks getting the cars ready for the show on the 29th, 30th.
Anyway back to the get together if you still want to use my place any time, day is suitable (every weekend is fine :D ) for those that came to the last one would know that there is plenty of room for cars, kids etc.
Cheers CHRIS
