I thought it would be a good idea to finally post some pics of my 68 Camaro project. In the past few months I have managed to paint strip my car as well as the strip car to a bare shell. Since these posted pics I have primed my car to prevent any rust. The plan is to now place my car on a rotiserie within the next few weeks and begin the car underneath to prepare for painting.

I am really digging this look: - You need to wait about a minute before the Camaro comes on.

I'm trying to decide what colour I should paint my Camaro. I'm leaning towards black at this stage however if you ask me a month from now i'm sure I will think of another colour.. Decisions decisions... HMMM.. I will continue post pics as I progress. I hope others will join and do the same. After all we all need contribute to make this forum more enjoyable for each other.

The following boxes are ticked at this stage:
- Maintaining the original look as much as possible in terms of interior etc..
- Big block engine
- 9 inch diff (if anyone has one available for sale please message me. Ideally one that will a Camaro).
- Paint the car black with vinyl roof, lowered and chevy rally sport rims simular to this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yenQmMJ4AQA
Now the search begins for someone that can paint a car black for a fussy owner.

Good to see you are using the GLAD bags with the white boxes on them, makes it so easy when putting back together or sending parts off for coating.

If anyone has pics of a 67 or 68 Camaro , lowered with rally wheels please post up some pics. I am finding it difficult to find pics on the web especially a Camaro lowered.

That is a very well known car over here in Vic.
Same shop that is building my car regularly rebuilds the rear qtrs on it.
Look up Debbie and Peter Gray, both hubby and wife are wicked burnout demons !!
I believe it runs a blown 502, I've seen it up close and it's a monster engine.
It is a purpose built burnout car

The last time the Gray's were at Motorvation i just missed out on riding shotgun with Peter in one of his burnout demo's. I had it all organised with Peter and he agreed to it, but the event organiser ( Pikey ) would'nt allow it as they were not allowed any passengers that year due to insurance reasons. On all previous occasions the Gray's had been to Perth they used to pick people out of the crowd to be a passsenger. Just my luck it was the only time passenger's were'nt allowed. Now any burnout competitor is allowed a passenger and the Gray's have'nt been back since :(
