Heya Daz & congrats! I think I saw that in Unique Cars or something? Looked real tidy.
Know what you mean about having a solid starting point but still loads to be done - Is what all the fun is about! (Oh, and the heartache it seems.. but make the successes even sweeter). Enjoy!!

Nice ride Dazza, agree with you about the wheels and no prize for guessing i'm going to vote BB :D
dazzad888
10-06-2009, 06:33 PM
Cheers fellas, i agree bigger is better!! Still undesided probably will go BB, easy horsies! Pulled Motor gearbox out last night, will asses the block of the 350 an go from there. Eventually aiming for low to mid 11's on street slicks, But keeping it fairly stock looking besides a set of wheels and a 9 inch. will let yas know how things progress

Sweet ride ! ... yeah, I agree, the wheels have to go, but someone will want them & the motor so don't just give them away.
BB are the most fun mate ! I have put an Olds 425ci in my 72 Cutlass and there in nothing better - better exhaust note, better reaction from the go pedal and a better reaction from those around you :)
Enjoy !

Motor/gearbox out tonight again, only needed a new starter and that happened!!!
Clean up engine bay now ready for paint. Might be a stupid Question but painting the engine the same colour as the car , how does it go long term with heat ect ...Does it need something special in it or can i just use the same paint? The car is 2 pack, any recomendations? , want to do it myself.

AGAIN?!!
Oh well, you may as well play.
Pretty sure you just need to make sure that the block is super clean and I would rekon using a direct gloss 2 pack would be the way to go? Not 100% sure though...

Just used the 2 pack which is on the car , seemed to work ok after about 8 coats. Yeah i have got pics but i dont know how to downsize them, engine bay turned out pretty good! Everythings nice an clean now and a bit more fun to work on, engine back in on the weekend, new hidden wiring, battery to boot ect. Just reasembling now and the roadworthy/lo2... Cant wait to actually drive the thing!!! My friend is on a ford forum, he said he had to download photobucket to post his pics, does that sound rite

You don't need to download photobucket, you can just sign up and it's free.
It's pretty self explanatory.
Give it a shot..
Looking forward to some pics.

Hey, excellent. Just tried that and worked good. I've been right clicking on a pic and clicking 'send to recipient' and it resizes it to send. Wonder how many ways there are to resize stuff. Easier doing it your way. A few less clicks

That's what i do sometimes as well, but if you set your camera to take 600 x 400 pics you should'nt have to resize at all ;)

If you host your photo's elsewhere such as photobucket then you can have the image show up by using the [IMG] code and it will also come up bigger.
From what I could see the yellow looks great on the block.

Once they are in photobucket, simply copy the IMG link (in full) and paste that in the post. The IMG link will insert it as a photo not as a link
