10 or 12 Bolt??

Our 1st gen cars with 10 bolts have 8.2" rear.. I think I might have an 8.2" Cover in stock as well??

:)

EDIT!!! Item # 2 the 8.5" Cover will fit 8.2" also!! I just tried it on one!! So that will fit first gen car!

I had my 12bolt diff apart the other day to fit the new aluminium diff cover i got a while back. Things aren't as nice inside there as I'd have liked, the gear set appears to be in pretty good condition, but there is a little bit of axle float. Axles aren't as heavy as I thought they'd be....

What sort of options do you have to put a new set of HD axles in, and possibly a new centre?

I figure out what i want and send you a PM at some stage... Will get car on road first and see what other problems pop up first.

Do you sell heim joints by any chance? Like the ones below...

I bought a billet alternator bracket from summit, and I need to extend the heim joint / bracket setup out a little bit... Running a gilmer belt setup, and am limited with what belt lengths are available.

We can supply rod ends and tube adapters yes, need to know thread size, bolt size etc. :)

Do you have the tube adaptors only, or pre made adjustment sections like what came in my kit?.... tube adaptors would do, i would have to cut down the approporiate size length of tube though, and get it plated or something to look pretty.

Going from the fitting instructions from the alt mount kit, its a 5/16 rod end. Not sure if you'd stock them that small.

I really should start another thread about this.

Below is picture of installation instructions, with gilmer pulley installed on alternator, the belt that came with kit (420L) was a little too long for the adjustment available in the area circled in blue. I bought a 390 belt, waaay too short, then took that back and ordered a 405 belt, got it last night still too short. If i try to push the alternator back down to accomodate the shorter belt, the fan blades on the alternator hit in the area circled in red.

All of this bloody trouble to run a gilmer belt. I had to get a spacer made up for lower pulley to align the power steering v groove etc too. I'm about ready to throw it all in the bin and buy a serpentine setup for it.

Is that a March Performance bracket kit rayman ? Looks like one from that picture, if so i had a similar problem as well. The belt they supplied was way too long. My alternator would hit the upper control arm with the belt still miles too loose. After about 4 or 5 trips to a couple of Repco stores and a Veale's store i finally got the right length belt. The March kits don't allow for a lot of adjustability so the belt length has to be spot on. I think you will find that a 410 or 415 belt will work

It's actually the summit alternator kit, probably just a knock of the march kit.

I can't get a 410 or 415 belt... Nobody seems to make em. Remember I'm using a gilmer belt, not a v-belt. You have a source for a 410/415 belt? This whole exercise has consumed so much time, and is holding me up considerably.... It all started with clearance problems to the thermo fans, and has just blown out from there.

we would have the tube adapters seperate... and may even have tubing in the size you need so you can make up what you require in your deisred length...
