Hi all,

After some 'crappier the better' rims and tyres to take my Coys off for when the CUMHO goes into the panel shop... Don't wanna be leaving the nice'et'ies on there to get covered in crap.

Perth Pickup would be grand....

Post up if ya know of any laying around.

Cash or Beers for payment...

i went to wreckers and got 4 hq rims with ****ty tyres for $50 for my 74 coz they have the same stud pattern as the hq, i think 2nd gen and 1st gen camaros have the same stud pattern aswell. i tried early dunnydore rims and they didnt fit

You'll need HQ as the Commy rims have a metric PCD.

Yep, HQ will fit perfectly, dunnydore are 0.6mm different PCD and different hub diameter too I think. You may get Dunnydore ones to fit which is ok for rolling around on but I wouldn't drive with them.

Geeze, lucky you work on US Muscle as they wouldn't fit under the arches of anything else:D

I've just been given the hurry up by my beater/painter and he wants the CUMHO in his shop on my next break... So I need a set of HQ rims and tyres ASAP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Plus I've gotta pull my finger out and finish stripping the old girl!

Cheers

Still looking for some HQ to WB rims and tyres. Trawled through the Quokka last week and found 1x set. No answer and no reply from the messages I left.

Mitch,
Not trying to be a Smart@rse but don't you have some Holden wrecking yards over there?
I bought a set of HQ steel rims with tyres last year with tyres to roll my 68 around on from "U Pull it" wreckers here (SA), it's one of those wrecking yards where you roll up with your own tolls and remove the parts you want and pay for them on the way out.

Classic Olden Holden parts

Maybe worth a try, I hear they rock when it comes to old holden stuff.

Not sure how pricey they are

Hehe, you'd think so wouldn't ya Nev.... There must be hundreds of these things laying around in peoples yards, yet there are buggerall at the wreckers and then I'm not about to pay $250 for a set of four with **** tyres when I could get a set of mags for the same... I may just do that..

Might try that number you gave me to Clux, haven't heard of them before...

The other problem is that I'm at work more often than I'm home so that makes it a little difficult to just drop around and grab something if it comes up...

Classic Olden parts are really good for the older Holdens so give him a try.
If ya find a heap im interested in some 14 and 15"
rims so let me know.

Even look at a few trailer places. Most trailers are either HQ or Ford pattern

Thanks guys, but by the time I get them to the panel shop and swap em over the car will basically be ready with the speed that these guys are working.
I'm now back at work for another week then off to Kalgoorlie for a week then back to work for another week... I'll just trust that they don't get damaged or overspray on them. Clayton (the painter) is fussier than me so it shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers
