make that 2 for reconditioning subframes :D
yeah you be suprised how many parts are interchangeable...def shop around and keep the USA as a 'just in case' and you reap in the rewards :)

keeping it left hook?

Thanks guys. It looks better but more importantly it drives a hell of a lot better. Actually goes where you point it now instead of floating around like an old boat.
For anyone else doing it I was surprised how much of the steering and suspension parts are exactly the same as HQ holden. Local HQ parts are a lot cheaper than importing the american equivalent!

Which parts are exactly the same as the HQ?

Happy New Year!

[QUOTE=69camaro;1745]Finished rebuilding my front end steering, brakes and suspension back in may. Thought i'd share some before and after pics. We all love pics ;) . Originally planned to just replace bushes and rebuild the steering box but ended up giving things a good tidy up right through. Most of this I will re do properly when I tear the whole car apart but for the next 12 -18 months I plan to just do bits and pieces and keep it on the road and drivable whilst collecting parts and saving my pennies. I'll be keeping things as close to original as possible.

Did similar to mine.
Wanted to be sure everything was OK.
Imagine having all the go fast stuff but finding out you have P!ss poor handling / brakes at the critical moment!
