Yeh I know its not a Camaro, but Ive allways had a soft spot for the big GM products.
This ones one of mine been on and off buildng this thing for a couple of years now its time to get serious and finish it,got the rest of the paint done over xmas and dropped the body on the frame, this thing is running a alloy head 502 0ut to 540, TH400,full airride etc, next up is to get the motor back in and start putting a isis multiplex system in and then the tedious task of polishing all the stainless and refitting and fitting up glass etc.

Doesn't need to be a Camaro to look good.
The Impala looks great and should be better with a bit of bright and shiny stuff on it.
Good stuff! More progress pics please.

What paint is that.. it looks like a Torch red 'vette colour to me? Regardless, The car should be a head turner when its all together :)

The color is our own ppg formula we use it on most of the red hotrods we build it only has 2 tinters in it which makes it very clean in the sun it is sensational .

I'm glad it's not another camaro build up!... :D
Love the big GM cars. I'm currently restoring my '59 BelAir. Do you guys restore panels that are pretty crusty? I've got a hood that needs attention.
Cheers

That will be a sensational looking car when its finished. Being an American Chev.... where did you source the air bag system from? Did it come in kit form?

The front system is an Airride front shockwave strongarm kit and the rear is a modified airride tubular rear kit in which I have gotten ride of the normal double covolute bags and set up rear shockwaves.

Nice car cant wait to see it finished, cool shop setup and group of cars you have there.
I was reading a car mag yesterday on the plane (cant remember which mag) with the write up on the M5 ute in it. That is a huge amount of custom fabrication by the looks of it and the car looks like it came from the factory that way, top work!
Would love to see him cruise into some golf event in it, everyone must be just thinking WTF?

Have you used ISIS wiring before? How good is it?
Sounds like a really neat and smart set up that saves big on wiring looms.
Do you needs heaps of relays with it?

This is the first one we have fitted, easiest way to understand it is to go to isispower .com and watch their online video.

They just did a wrie up on it in HotRod and it's pretty good by the sound of it.
It sounded like you need a heap of relays for it because of the lower power signals to each component though.
Looks like a great way to wire a rod or custom.
