My 1 owner 1968 RS, been in storage since 1983. The day i bought it, first time moved and seen sunlight from were it was stored.
I have also included shots of a few more camaros that i took pics of at John Force Holiday Car Show on Dec 7th 2008.
The black 69 from SEMA 2007 def stood out when i seen it from a distance.

I like the look and stance of your 68.
The 70 chevelle i allways have a soft spot, have to walk out to the shed and look at mine.

The only problem is im halfway through a full nut and bolt resto, i will have to post a pic when i first imported the car.
As the car looked from U.S.

Car is a genuine Big Block SS, 402/4speed, 12 bolt, factory special order colour,(hugger orange but they call it monaco orange for the chevelles) delete stripe option, functional cowl hood with flapper, non A/C, bucket seats and build sheet that was found on top of fuel tank. Took me 2 months of searching in Los Angeles in 92 for a genuine Big Block SS chevelle with this criteria, colour wasnt to important but ended up with a bonus.

A real SS factory orange with stripe delete is very rare, nice find and a hell of lot cheaper in 92 then it would be today :D

Thanks, your 70 def looks good, i went to see a guy who was selling his 70 SS collection in 92 in Los Angeles, he had at least 30 1970 SS chevelles. He had just sold a rolling basket case factory LS6 SS chevelle back then for 10,000 U.S. and it was bad, needed everything. So i had to scale down to an LS5 or 402 car, but was happy at what i had bought.

A red / black - 4 speed LS6 would be the holy grail of 70 chevelle's :D I had to settle for an LS5 :(
I just couldn't justify twice the price and possibly ending up with a restamped block and a bogus buildsheet anyway

Here is a couple of pics from holiday car show 08.
I like this colour. I was originally looking for a Forest Green chevelle with white stripes when i was on the hunt.

Yes i agree with you on the bogus build sheet and restamped block. My build sheet is definently the original one, its very old and fragile, but all the important info is on there.
There is a lot of clones advertised as genuine and thats where a lot of people get sucked into buying cars that arnt what they are.

You have to do your homework on 69-71 chevelles (same VIN as malibu) but there are some subtle clues as to being an SS that are commonly overlooked.
But then again I've seen very well done clones (advertised as clones) bring huge money  quality of resto and originality are almost as important as pedigree.

Happy to post shots of it up here, but I fear I will get banned from the forum for posting a 1.4L car that gets 4.4 Litres per 100Kms economy

For me the rear 3/4 is where it's all at. Have loved the rear haunches on Gen1s since forever

Hey Gav, I know is marginally off topic, but did you fit the XB 9" during your ownership? If so, did you choose that specific model diff because of length, or just coz what was around (& all 9"s similar length??). Any other mods to make fit?
Thanks dude - Deano

Deano , i never fitted diff the but...my understanding (told by previous owner) is that its (xb) only 10 mm or so different.. It had 85 camaro rear leafs and 15x8.5 rims with 255 tyres. No rub.
