Always liked the late 60's / early 70's Mopars.
Intersting rear end set up.
Keep posting pics, especially when you get the big@rse Hemi in.

Do you have previous experience with the gearendors o/drive?
I wouldn't mind adding one to mine in the future.

Rough cost of gearvendors o/d?
Are there variations depending on the use / application?

Around 3500 to 4000 dollars depending on your application,we buy them through
Rocket Sport trucks in melbourne 03 95808155 only variations are the extension housing applications i.e depending on what box it is going on.

The motor is a 605 (yes you read that right) cube monster it runs on US 91 octane and idles at 800 rpm, the injection is a kinsler eight stack efi, it is a new system not a converted mechanical system, the trumpets wont stick through the hood they will be very small custom made ones most likely carbon fibre..

We,ve spent the last 2 weeks getting the motor setup and a full new floor and rails made, the standard e body motor, floors and tunnel are offset to the right,so we decided to centre the motor which ment changing the tunnel, the vote was we fab a full new floor and while we did it created full floor rails, with 800 plus foot lbs of torque this thing will need them.http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr282/southrod/Antz%20Cuda/DSC_4001.jpg

We,ve put a few in,without going into a lot of detail you can preset your split sequence and when you want the box to split and at what mph that it will always take off in the lowest gear and it wont split until you have reached the preset mph usually 45-50 mph in the auto posoition or you can set it were you want in the manual position, so they are not controled by rpm but by the speed .

But how about vehicles with high stall converters?
I'm assuming that with the GV offering a decent OD ratio, the converter would still slip and allow the engine to increase in rpm as if the GV wasn't there.

No locals at all,I had a policy since i started the shop 21 yrs ago that I would not do immediate local work, the closest we would would have customer wise would be shepparton about 1.5 hrs away.the rest are from all over australia.

The seats look quiet tall, is there going to be enough clearance once mounted and the roof liner is in? Maybe the owner is shorter then 6ft?

Shane, what after market or other model vehicle seats do you recommend for a 68 Camaro? I was looking at the VE HSV seats but they're far to big.

they are a bit deceiving to look at in the pictures, tthere is plenty of room they are mounted now you just cant see the tracks, eventually they will have no head rests.
best to do the old tape measure thing, you will find that most seat tracks/mounts will have to be modified on whatever you use.

Bewdiful work there Shane. World class results!

You a Deniliquin local, or decide to settle there because its a nice peaceful out of the way place, where you can concentrate on unique projects without a passing parade dropping by all the time? :)

And has that front end got Corvette C5 lower control arms and knuckles and a billet upper control arm?

After seeing Shane use some Ford seats in a Firebird vert I went with some ex XR8 ute seats.

Lot of work to rework the track to fit the original Camaro mount holes, especially to keep the electric up/down on the drivers side, but they are in now and comfort is great, car is a lot quieter and the passenger does not slide across on top of the driver around quick right hand turns any more :).

Good thing re the ute seats is that they have levers that let them flip forward to let the kids into the back seat.

Yes the seats are clearly XR seats if you look hard (XR on the seat LOL), but will get either the panel changed out with "SS" or a Chevy bowtie, or "Camaro" or something in the near future. They do look ok even if they are charcoal.

:)))))
