Just get a permit for the day Mitch, or you could just use some novelty plates. ;) What are the chances of getting done for the same thing again. :D

LOL Mitch dont you get me in trouble!! :P

I now know your full name Muggz and have your address on hand in case they pull me over again... I just tell them I'm you!!

By the way did I tell you'se that I got off? I went to court found out that it was a $1600 and loss of license for the offence  so I thought I'd better take it seriously. Had all my paper work in hand and did a bit of preperation and the judge listened to both sides of the story, asked me to stand and said that all costs would be absorbed and that I was free to go.
The cops rang me last week and told me that I could drop into the station and pic my plates up when I was free to...

How nice.

P.S. No the 68 won't be there on a permit... I'd be too embarrassed with all the lush metal that will be there. Don't want my dunger mixin it with the high class gear.

I'm still unsure if I will even make it.. Put my hol's in, arranged relief and was told because I only work 6 months of the year due to my roster that I more than likely wouldn't get the weekend off.... I thought if you were entitled to Annual Leave you could take it when you wanted/needed it????? I've only taken leave once in the two years I've been here and that was at Xmas just gone...a whole 9 days!

Gee that was a post and a half....

Hey Mitch, glad to hear you got off.
Acting like a respectable citizen goes a long way sometimes.
How about some progress pics?
I am on leave but not sue what I'll go back to at work.
The downturn is starting to bite and people are starting to get their marching orders.

Mitch,

As a CEO (yes we are all bastards), I can tell ya that annual leave can be approved or declined purely at the discretion of the cmpany based on the needs of the business. They must allow you to take your available leave within the year, but they decide when. They can even "tell you" what days you will take leave.

Not too many pricks out there do that, but occasionally there are enforced leave periods (typically between Xmas and New Year when it is really slow), but yeah the company decides when you go on leave not you...sucks but thems the rules.

Haha, yeah Chris... I understand, I used to be in a Senior Management position myself... It was more the attitude than the potential knock back, especially when it's OK for others to be given hol's under the same circumstances. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander was my response.. Went down like a lead balloon though

And not all CEO's are pricks, thats what Senior Management is for..Handball!! ;)

Was quite happy with the outcome. Reading the Judges body language told me that he couldn't understand why I was there! I'm am glad that I fronted up in Person though as the circumstances may have been different if I filed the summons and pleaded guilty.

Haven't touched the Camaro for a good couple of months. Got it out a couple of weeks ago for a quick run and put it straight back to bed. Floorpans arrive next week (hopefully) as will my shock tower replacements.

The Mrs ordered a bit more bling for the engine bay for my upcoming B'day. A new billet air cleaner to go with the other bits that are still sitting in the boot.:o

Yeah Mitch - that would have been me! Got there earlyish, walked around a bit, took a few snaps. When the run started had a few chick friends join us in the limo. Was also cruising with the Caddy Eldorado which you probably saw parked next to us. Another guy hanging out with us had his L89 Vette which made it to East Freo but wouldnt start when he wanted to leave and was towed home. Not sure what the verdict is, but at the time it seemed like the engine had seized!!

This is my mates Mazda 1800. The guy who painted the car is doing my 68. I don't know if you will recall but it was a top 10 car at Motorvation a couple of years ago when it was immaculately presented in white.
It's a shame it wasn't sunny as the PPG Paint on this thing is absolutely magic. The body is fully deseamed and shaved aswell.

Any of you guy's get a close look at this brown 4dr Kingswood with the white roof, HK i think it is. What a sleeper, 14" wheels with hub caps, tow ball out the back, paint and interior were a bit rough around the edges but it has a 454 big block Chev that sounded very strong. Certainly impressed me......

Except for the fact that the aircleaner pokes out of the hood of course ;)

The engine bay looks mint. Almost an Industrial type finish to it. Please tell me that it has a remote booster hidden somewhere? That would be a scary car to pull up if it's non boosted!!!

And Steve.... Iwouldn't go that far mate... Sexy is highly debateable!!! :p

This is Ross's 67. He has an interesting dash configuration with the instruments. I like the layout and the fact it kinda looks stock!

Mitch

I like the gauges in the 67 too, they're "Classic Intruments". Nice price too!

Anyone know how the Autometers mount into a 67/68 Camaro dash? Are they secured or just press fit?
