i went to ballarat too, and thought there might have been a big turn out. was dissappointed like you! hopefully portland will prove better, because if no one shows the promoters wont run these events in the future.
everybody winges that there is no racing in vic, but when there is an event on no one seems to show up??
promoters wont run events for 50 cars forever, it just doesnt pay the bills!

we attended the 2nd round of the shannons nostalgia drags yesterday at portland, thankfully the weather held out for the most part,and a great day of racing was had by a good turnout of quality cars.
i met us muscle forum member '69 camaro' at the track.......sorry i couldn't stop and talk a bit mate, was trying to sort out car issues etc.
the old camaro started out ok with a backing off 7.52@96mph but soon went downhill from there with electrical gremlins taking over, culminating in me exiting the event in the semi 'cos the car stalled on the startline and would'nt fire again!
overall was a top day, track was sticky, plenty of tuff cars inclding a crazy gogomobile powered by a blown and injected volkswagon engine!!!!
final round of this series is to be held at bairnsdale on the australia day weekend in january.
