Apparently a 70 year old, almost bling guy who has been told to clean up his land, so the crushers are moving in :(

Go to livemap (http://maps.live.com.au/)
select "Locations"
plug in this address "60 Weaver Hill Road West Greenwich RI"
select "birds eye"

south west of this address, follow the car lined dirt road into the woods, when it looks like the end of the road...... keep looking west  .

Then have a look at the gallery (http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/cc114/bkl89/?start=all) of the stuff thats getting crushed

OzRiv,
There's some pretty sad cases there.
Sad that theyv'e been left to rust like that and sad because it would take boat loads of $$'s to bring any of those things back from the dead.
Most look like "parts cars" at best
I wonder why you would keep collecting junkers like that:confused:

I'd rather have one really nice car than dozens of wrecks.

true that the sheet metal is not much good, but there there would be a LOT of parts and bits of trim a lot of people would walk over broken glass to get their hands on.

what a waste of US muscle !!

what has the old guy been thinking for the last 30-40 years, that he would get around to restoring them one day

Also keep in mind that the photos were taken by a Mustang nut, thats why it seems that there is a fastback or convertible first gen Mustang in almost every picture, if a Camaro nut had gone, I guess he would have returned with different pictures

it's amazing the amount of people that have colletions of cars just lying around like this. we stumbled across a guy here in central victoria recently that had dozens of early valiants, dodges and old fargo trucks just rotting away like these. we cleaned a few out of his yard for him, and he told us he had another property with even more!
also saw another guy over near shepparton with acres of old cars , just packed in as tight as they could get, god knows what their motivation is!
there is also a guy just down the other end of the road i live on that has chev trucks, american mopars and ramblers etc all pushed into a heap with the bulldozer, what was he thinking you reckon????
