Do you have a new hoodlining Mitch, or you putting the old one back in ? Can the hoodling be removed/installed without removing the front and rear screens ?

Yeah the intention is to do the hood lining before the screens go in. The old lining is in place and is ok but I'm pretty sure i'll chuck a newy in there... More than likely just grab one from Ponti World along with the front and rear screen trim clips etc.

Hmmmm AUSGARAGE does have a ring to it Deano... :p

It's on the cards... No work occuring in there as yet, just parked up cars... Notice I haven't moved ANY tools in there yet, although I did just buy a parts washer and set it up....albeit deliberatly without solvent in it so I don't use it :D:p

Cleaned up the dash and A pillar trims including the hoodling trims and installed the new windscreen surround trim clips etc.

The windscreen guy rocked up and we fitted the new screen. He did a pretty good job and spent a fair amount of time on it to get it right.

Pretty happy with the job and now I've just got to get the rear chucked back in.

Good to see Mith, you should have got the rear installed at the same time !! and a small tip let the windscreen guys put the stainless trims on as well as there is a knack to it and they have had plenty of practice

I have used the same guy Peter from Metro Windsceens for all my cars and he does a superb job and he is local as well !!!
Catch you soon

Was planning to get the rear done and had requested a particular person to come out as he did the screen in the Pajero and said he could do the front and rear in the Camaro in one hit.

But alas, he didn't rock up and some old Italian bloke did, but he had done a few before... and did a pretty good job... unfortunately, he couldn't put the rear screen in as he had to get to his other job... Another windscreen fitter dropped in though and he will pop down and fit it at a later date... He lives up the street!!

Just read this and cringed. Not all windscreen guys are created equal. I wasn't there when they put my rear screen in. I didn't ask for him to put the trim on but he did anyway. Got back and had to remove my freshly polished perfect trim to have all the dents taken out and polished again coz the gorilla dented the crap out of them. Just a warning.

Sorry guys... Here I am.

No Updates on the Jaffa. Bit over it all to be honest...

It certainly has been a while since I've been on here. Just tried to log in and couldn't remember my username... Pretty sad huh!

I have a crap load of PM's in my inbox, i'll get to them shortly..

Thanks to Chris and Marty for giving me a thought and a call... I'll have to get enthused again... After looking at Chris's Chevelle last week, it certainly gave me a rush of blood to the right areas ;P

The closest thing I've done to the Camaro is to build a bench in my shed and build a bit of a mezzanine to store bits of it!

Steve would have to go into a 6month hibernation for me to get anywhere near him :D

That's the nicest way anyone's ever said I crap-on too much. :D

Mitch, it comes and goes.. There have been more than a few times during my 8 year resto where I've shut the garage door and just walked away and haven't returned for a couple of weeks or more, but I always know, and do come back when I get my head around whatever frustrations are getting to me and they are not always the car.
After doing that a couple of times, I also realized that it's a very healthy thing to do. I often return refreshed and in a better frame of mind.
When you start to make some progress, you'll love it again.
..and don't force yourself back into it.

hahahaha... can't say I've seen that ad before...

More so that time has FLOWN with the new born (he's 5 and a bit months old now) and the new job. Priorities are also significantly different now especially with the drop in dollars from FIFO

The choices we make in life eh... Chalk that one up to experience!
