ITS ON FOR THE OLD AND OLD AT THE NPA’S VICTORIAN HOT ROD REUNION 15th NOVEMBER AT HEATHCOTE PARK RACEWAY.
This is Victoria’s ONLY ¼ MILE ANDRA SANCTIONED HOT ROD REUNION
Ya Cant miss this one.
Not only will there be Nostalgia/Hot Rod Car Club Displays with a Club Challenge but many fields of ¼ MILE DRAG RACING Including, Junior Fuel, Gas, Sling Shot, True Gas, Outlaws, Stick Shift, Hot Rod, Hambster, USA Muscle and OZ Muscle, Plus a Huge Show and Shine that is open to anyone, so if you’ve got an old shinny car please bring it along and be part of the fun.
This meet will be a day/night meet – (YES we have lights) fully catered with Trade Stands, a playground for the Kids and more, yes more, Roly Leahy will be bringing along his National Record holding 6 Second Junior Fuel car. Roly has been racing front motor dragsters since 1973, with a 2 year stint in alcohol funny car in 1975-1976 and A/HR and AA/HR in the early 1980,s but the rest of the time it has been FED’s. He has held the National Record for A/D ,A/HR, AAHR, AND at the moment is the fastest car in our class in Australia for Nostalgia Junior Fuel at 6.92 @199.91 MPH , his eldest son Greg runs the record holder for BB/A , his youngest son Peter runs FED the same as I do , and his Grandson runs Junior Dragster and is also very competitive , they are the only family in Australia that has 4 family members running and 3 generations all running as well , “ Its been ten years since I last raced at Heathcote Park Raceway and I am looking forward to doing Battle with the Victorians. The Nostalgia Promotions Australia – NPA was formed by Wayne McGregor (flaming Wayne) and Greg Ford (just Greg) who’s passion is and always has been Nostalgia cars and they are very excited about getting Nostalgia Racing back to Victoria to be run and enjoyed the way True Nostalgia Drag Racing Should. So no more unreliable dealings with unprofessional interstate promoters, this meeting is run for Victorian racers by Victorian racers. “This is only just the beginning, we’ve also confirmed March for 2009 for our second Hot Rod Reunion and the response from Victorian racers has been phenomenal entries have started coming in and its gunna be huge!!” Greg Ford.
