Hey guys, I'm just wondering whether anyone would have any idea's / suggestions (before I head off to a shop) about a brake problem I am having. Unfortunately I am about as mechanically minded as a schoolgirl. The car is running all round aerospace disks. Photo of engine bay attached showing brake booster etc.

The brakes have been working fine until I jumped in for a drive on Sunday to the Super Chevy day in Brisbane. After about 1km the pedal went rock hard and I lost almost all power to the brakes. She would still pull up but I had to push like all buggery on the peddle. The problem went away (power back to the brakes) but came back again on and off. I've had a look around all the lines and cannot find any obvious signs of leaks etc. It looks like a pretty new set up to me.

Many thanks in advance

Could be a booster broblem, the check valve and or the vacuum line to could be stuffed, check the valve by sucking on the booster side, if you can suck or blow through it in both directions it's faulty, the rubber hose (if not vacuum hose) can sometimes suck itself flat and cause the same problem.

.. as anychevy just mentions.. I had a problem LONG long time back similiar.. turned out to be a fracture in the Hose line leading to the booster.. would open and close and restrict/change airflow.. .. Check hoses carefully.
