Hi all, I have been lurking on here for a little while. i finally have found time to post a few pics of my Camaro. The pics were taken with my phone so they aren't great.
At this stage i'm looking some decent suspension under it, big brakes and an ls engine of some sort and a 5 or 6 speed behind it. I guess it will almost be a pro touring car.

At the moment i need a bigger shed, so work won't start on the car for a little while.

Good to see something coming out of Adelaide. Yep theres nothing worse than trying to work on a car in a tiny shed. Ive been building mine in a one car garage that you cant even open the doors properly in. I get so jealous looking at some of the huge sheds some of these cars are being built in. What colour and wheels have you chose or is it too soon for that :)

Hugger orange / white stripes  be nice if you could get the air working as well, looks like it's complete, which is rare.

The problem I have with the air con is I'm in s.a. I want to modify the car, so i'll have to covert it to right hand drive. I doubt it would be easy to move the air con. If anything i'll have to look at fitting a vintage air system. see how the funds go.

So in SA you have to have it converted to RHD if it's not 100% stock ? OMG  I would avoid that like the plague ! Restore it first, register it and modify it later :D

From what i have heard in s.a it has to be 100% original to be registered lhd, down to the paint colour. I think it's still like club rego too. I'll just modify it and get it engineered and approved. No hassles from the police then.

Yep thats exactly right. The RHD conversion was something I didnt count on but I always wanted to modify so its something you cant get away from. The police know about this rule too so its not something you can think your going to get away with for long. Do what you want, get the engineers certificate and DRIVE :D

as far as i am aware they can only get you for the way you are driving/speeding etc, and possibly noise.

I'm pretty sure any car can be registered LHD in any state as long as it's 30 years old.
As long as you keep it to what was "optional" on a 69 camaro and don't go overboard on wheels, chrome and noise, you should be safe.

I can understand huge wheels, tubs and blowers etc. so what do they consider as modified ?

The are real nice units...I love my AME front end, it rocks....

Love to see some pics of the rear, I seriously considered one of theirs but in the end went with a home grown fabbed up rear end

The front sub frame has a rhd steering rack, i'll get some pics when i unpack it. Art Morrison arranged the freight, was with a company called Pilot Air.

The front and rear ends are still in the crate they came in, have been through the box of goodies that came with it. Nothing too exciting for pics though.
Will be sure to take some as soon as its unpacked, don't know when that will be though.
